Porscheman Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 Bright enough color This is the Modelhaus Cadillac Coupe DeVille I picked up at this years NNL East and the third in a series of 4 kits I bought this year. I painted this one Dupli-color Lip Stick Red Met. with 3 Testors Wet Look Clear top coat. The top and interior was done with Tamiya Primer White and Rustoleum Merlot for the dash and carpet. The windows were tinted with Tamiya's Clear Blue. I loved building this one. Let me know how it came out. Thanks Al Harry: Mirrors
drball Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 Dang, I have not even unpacked my haul from the NNL East.
charlie8575 Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 VERY nice. I'd build mine with the sunroof filled in, but that's a gorgeous rendition. Charlie Larkin
Agent G Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 That is sweet. I'd love to have one just like that in the garage. Wait, it wouldn't fit......... G
Porscheman Posted May 5, 2014 Author Posted May 5, 2014 Thanks guys. The Modelhaus did an outstanding job on this kit. Fit and finish are top notch!!! Al
Rob Hall Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 Sharp build..I like the color choices. I have one of these on order, w/ the wire wheels. Want to get their '61 and the '69 that recently came out from another resin caster..

Excellent kit, you just need to supply tires and wheel back. 99% flash free..

Nacho Z Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 I think it looks GREAT. It could pass for the real thing IMHO. Nice job on it Al.
MrObsessive Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 Wow! That's a super sharp lookin' Caddy! That brings back some memories as I was in high school back when those were new. My Mom was seeing a fellow in '76 that had a '74 Coupe De Ville.............and no it wouldn't fit in the garage. 1976 would have been the last year for certain traditional styling cues. Come '77, gone were fender skirts, four door hardtops (along with the rest of GM), and 500 cubic inch engines. Those were the days!
migace Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 I love that car! Such a great job, love the color combination. I need to get one! I still have my '76 JoHan Eldo promo i need to finish.
Ramfins59 Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 Al, that is a gorgeous Caddy. Makes you want to kiss that car..!! I just started working on a '58 Lincoln that I picked up from Modelhaus for my "Class of '58".
Kris Morgan Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 Another great build Al . Will you be changing your name to Cadillacman?
slusher Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 Man that's a great looking model. Excellent color and build Al.
High octane Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 Real nice job on that Caddy Al, as I owned one like that in the late 70's, only no sunroof and a red interior.
