Custom Mike Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 (edited) This one's a replica of my wife Pam's old F-150 XL I started with the AMT F-150 XLT, removed all the lower and wheel well trim, opened up the grille and made a radiator face to go behind it, made a tool box for the bed, a diamond-plate step bumper with ball hitch, and a coffee mug, because Pam's gotta have her coffee! I snagged some tires from the parts box that were a better match for her truck's tires, and added the side mirrors from Monogram's F-250. Paint is Dupli-Color Ford Toreador Red, their Medium Gray Fabric and Interior paint inside, and their Black Primer in the bed, with Tamiya's Aluminum used on the bumpers. Click on the link for more pics over on Fotki, and enjoy! http://public.fotki.com/customike/everything_else/pams-1994-f-150-xl/ . Edited May 27, 2014 by Custom Mike
Chuck Most Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 Nice! Makes me want to get back at doing the replica of my '94 F250
Custom Mike Posted May 25, 2014 Author Posted May 25, 2014 Thanks guys, it made Pam happy, so I'm happy!
crazyjim Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 Super build and SHINY :) . If Pam's happy with, so am I.
Custom Mike Posted May 25, 2014 Author Posted May 25, 2014 (edited) Thanks guys, I've got a short-bed version to build too, but it'll get built the way I'd want one! And Jim, it's shiny, but not too shiny, since it's supposed to be a daily driver. I didn't use the polishing kit or clear coats on this one. It's straight from the rattle-can Dupli-Color paint followed by a quick rub down with some Mequairs #7 Show Car Glaze! Edited May 25, 2014 by Custom Mike
