StevenGuthmiller Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 (edited) Fresh off the bench, (finally) is this original issue AMT '58 Buick Roadmaster. My usual box stock build with a few "embellishments". Painted a reasonable facsimile to "Spray Green" with a "Hunter Green" top. I added a set of Modelhaus Buick wire wheels with the "parts pack" Firestone wide whites, a parts box continental kit, mirrors & door handles from the Monogram '59 Caddy kit & a scratch built antenna. Other than that, what you see is what came out of the box in '58. Steve Edited April 25, 2018 by StevenGuthmiller
TooOld Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 That's a real beauty ! The wire wheels and Continental kit really set it apart . . . great colors too !
unclescott58 Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 Stunning! Very nice. The colors are prefect for the car. Scott
Scalper Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 Wow really nice. super clean super shoney. great worl,. a master peice.
crazyjim Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 Beautiful and SHINY :) . You must have used a whole sheet of BMF on that yacht.
Ramfins59 Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 Steven, that is a gorgeous model. I'll bet you had "loads of fun" doing the BMF work on that beast. I know I had fun doing mine.
Speedfreak Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 I think it could use a little more chrome. No really, that is so good I am stunned! You do prototypes for Franklin Mint right?
StevenGuthmiller Posted May 27, 2014 Author Posted May 27, 2014 Thanks guys. This one took me a while, but it wasn't because of the BMF. Actually Rich, I think I spent more time on my '59 Dodge build doing the foil than on this one. It wasn't a cake walk, but it didn't seem to go too bad either. Steve
DeeCee Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 That definitely is a thing of beauty, great work on it, and the dark roof really sets it off i think.
oldscool Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 You just keep amazing me Steven. I wish I could do trim work like that.
John Goschke Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 Great work as always, Steven! Those colors really pop in natural light.
Porscheman Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 Beautiful model and your workmanship is excellent!!!
