Scuderia Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 This one is the SnapTite release of the '10 convertible with a twist. The hood was cut out and and the chassis and engine from the 2007 GT Hertz kit was transplanted to turn it into a full-detail kit. It's a bit of a custom, with a two-tone interior treatment. Painters Touch Apple Red with Testors Wet-Look Clear.
Scuderia Posted June 15, 2014 Author Posted June 15, 2014 Thanks, I'm not good at measuring so it was a lot of trial and error and test-fitting lol. Appreciate it.
unclescott58 Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 Very nice. Did a great job on the conversion. Scott Aho
Maxicoop Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 that turned into an awesome rag top !!!! nice job on the conversion !!!!!!!!!

Scuderia Posted June 24, 2014 Author Posted June 24, 2014 (edited) Nice mustang, idk I've been wanting to make a conv myself . Really nice paint and detail Thanks everyone, I appreciate it! It's not too hard really Erik, I did mine with basic xacto knives and fairly primitive technique lol. The 06 kits are fairly inexpensive around the web now, and if you decide to do one let me know. I'm pretty sure I have some spare cone-style filters from the Hertz n Bullitt kits leftover if you want a spicier intake setup. Although using a 2010 hardtop guts may prove easier, but more costly a donor. Edited June 24, 2014 by Scuderia
Chuck Most Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 Nice! I have a similar swap I need to get back to working on- only I'm using the SnapTite drop tob body with a '10 Shelby GT500 as the donor.
Scuderia Posted June 24, 2014 Author Posted June 24, 2014 Nice choice chuck, that sounds like it'll turn out to be a nice ride!
