I'll give Harley props for trying to expand their horizons with an electric bike, hopefully this goes better than when they tried to go big into the sport bike world with Buel. Also for those of you who may not know HD also recently came out with a 500 and 750 "street" bike. It's pretty easy to tell that Harley is looking towards the younger generation with these new bikes.

Joke all you want guys, this is innovation towards the future whether you like it or not. If this goes well for Harley I'm sure that they will make plenty of other electric bikes in the future. And don't worry, guys will find ways to make them just as cool as the regular gas ones. Remember that Hod Rodding never dies, it just evolves as time goes by.

I have to wonder how "traditional" Harley types will take to the guys who ride the electrics. Will they be seen as part of the "brotherhood?" Or as geeks or nerds (or worse)?

Will the HDACDC bike start up with a low-order explosion that rattles the neighbors' windows and P-Os their dogs, or will it be nothing like a Harley at all?

Will the riders be 'gang-switch bikers'?

Will they relegate the new 'lectric choppers to their Ohms Ladies?

Will they have a TV series called 'Sons of Alternating Circuits'?

Bored, inquiring minds want to know . . .

If the stories about how they treat V-Rod riders are true, I'd say not well...
