Quick GMC Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 (edited) I can't stop watching this. http://speedsociety.com/3000hp-twin-turbo-mustang-comeback-original-footage/?var=1320 Edit: scroll down the page a bit. Apparently he went airborne and destroyed the car. I'm looking for the video of that now. Edited July 23, 2014 by Quick GMC

wrecker388 Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 (edited) I think he may have needed wheelie bars.....in the second video anyway. Appeared to have a set in the first... Edited July 23, 2014 by wrecker388
Quick GMC Posted July 24, 2014 Author Posted July 24, 2014 Yikes. No idea why he wouldn't have a wheelie bar on that thing.
Joe Handley Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 Geez, that reminds me of my Traxxas Stampede on a 3s LiPo, IF it goes in a straight line, the front tires are off the ground, otherwise, it crashes!
DynoMight Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 It's a good thing he landed on the wall and not in the wall
1930fordpickup Posted August 29, 2014 Posted August 29, 2014 (edited) Why would they have a class that requires a chute because of speed but not wheelie bars ? Edited September 3, 2014 by 1930fordpickup
ScaleDale Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 Why would they have a class that requires a shoot because of speed but not wheelie bars ? That was an Outlaw Radial race at an NHRA sanctioned track. NHRA requires wheelie bars on cars capable of lifting the wheels 12 inches or more, but tracks are free to use their own rules if they choose for non sanctioned events. They don't need to follow NHRA rules all the time. At the speed he had going when he went up the second time, wheelie bars wouldn't have helped anyway. He should have backed off and pulled the chute. That's why they call them Outlaws, I guess. Dale
