unclescott58 Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 It's October 23rd in Minnesota, and it's warm enough to open some windows around the house, letting in the fresh warm air. This is almost heaven! Scott

This is almost heaven! Danno Hey! Copy cat! It can't nice down there, if it's nice up here. Can it? Doesn't seem right. Presently the temps here are in the upper 60's. For late October this is great. Normally around this time of the year, I'd be wishing I had the money to retire, and spend my winters in Arizona. Those thoughts maybe delayed a month or two the way this fall is going. But, being this is Minnesnowa, the hell will come. Late January, early February it will be so cold the windows will be frozen shut (hopefully). And Russin Roulette will be looking like a game that might just be fun. Isn't that a cheery note? Back to the here and now. Back to living in Paradise. Scott
crazyjim Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 Weather's been perfect down here near the left coast of FLA. Sunny and 80 during the day, mid 50's at night and low humidity. The only negative is that I have to turn on the pool heater to maintain 90 degree water.
Ramfins59 Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 Man, you've sure got a tough life there Jim.

cobraman Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 Pleased that my wife is doing pretty good after a bunion removal surgery yesterday. She has had 3 operations in the last two years. Hopefully this will be the end of it. She got a couple screws put in this time.

Tom Geiger Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 I'm HOME! It feels good to be in my own home (and my own bed) after a week away on business. I was running a week long conference for 65 people in Puerto Rico for my large pharma client. I was worried because things there run on "island time" which means stuff like meals and rented busses show up when they feel like it. Also in my preplanning, I was calling restaurants asking about bringing a group of 50 or more people and they'd never get back to you. So there was plenty of nail biting that things would work out. Things did fall into place and the conference was considered a great success. I flew home yesterday and slept until 10am, still tired after 7 days of working from 6am until 11pm. But it was worth it!
High octane Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 Since I don't have a Pay Pal account, I had a good friend get me a Danbury Mint Kookie's Kar from Evil-bay. I looks great and I'm doin' the "happy dance" as I put it in my display case.
High octane Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 I read in today's newspaper that the release of the movie Furious 7 will be in the spring of next (2015) year, with the Walker brothers filling in for the late Paul Walker.

High octane Posted November 2, 2014 Posted November 2, 2014 I have a few bags left over, and I'll take them to the club meetings that I'll be attending next weekend. Last year I ran out of candy. Go figure?
