Guest Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 Thank you Bob... I got the straight six from the italeri 64 Nova kit. Beautiful. Do you mean a Trumpeters 63 Nova? As far as I know Italeri did not do a 64 Nova. Also, your marker light decal says 307. The 6 is a 250.

Yeah, I could not find decals with the 250 marker, so I just used the ones that the kit came with. Edited August 20, 2014 by TheCat
bbowser Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 Now that's what I'm talking about! A true replica stock build, really nice work.
Lunajammer Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 Well done and very nostalgic. This is how they were for the first several years. I don't recall seeing them rodded out on the street until they became more affordable to the average driveway car guy a few years later. That six makes it ring true.
Daddyfink Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 Very clean! I like the little granny grocery get'r look!
Dominik Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 Beautiful Nova! Nice color, rims, vinylroof - love it.
Bob Ellis Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 The 6 cylinder; do you mean the '63 Trumpeter kit? I looked for a italeri 64 Nova and couldn't find one. Very nice build
crazyjim Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 Very nice. Did you split the exhaust manifold to get the dual exhaust?

TheCat Posted August 21, 2014 Author Posted August 21, 2014 Thank you everyone for the very kind comments. This was one build I wanted to complete a year or so ago but other builds got in the way. I'm very happy on the way it came out.
TheCat Posted August 21, 2014 Author Posted August 21, 2014 Here's a screenshot of the bottom of the kit.
Bob Ellis Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 Felix, it is an outstanding job. Nice touch with those brake lines. You might be able to find or make a 250 decal for the front marker light. Most years the six emblem doesn't exist.
crazyjim Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 I see. thanks Felix. The bottom looks as good as the top.
Daniel Lynch Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 Very nice! I like the little inline six! This is nice signature of Grand Ma Nova!
TFchronos Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 Very nice and clean build. Love that it's got an in-line 6 in it, first one I think I've seen.
David G. Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 Nicely done! Love the 250 6cyl. David G.
cswilliams1963 Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 Oh man that is one sweet build. I love just the plain jane on most any car.
om617 Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 This is a fresh breath of air from all the v8 models (They rock too). Nicely done.
