Bruno Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 Finished this one a few days ago, Revell kit, Slixx decals, automotive basecoat clearcoat paint, added a few wires and hoses and some scratchbuilt items.
Mister Twister Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 Real nice paint and detail work...Great work!

Old Coyote Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 Beautiful build sir ............... far better than the one I built .................. simply outstanding
W-409 Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 Very nice job, Bruno (As always). Especially the paint job looks very good, it makes this thing look like a real thing. I like the shade of silver on the wheels, too. I think chromed wheels would be too bright for this kind of car. Those are just perfect. Nice detailing also in the engine bay... Very nice Pontiac.
Mooneyzs Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 Very nice job on this one. It is a very clean build. What brand of automotive paints do you use, I love using PPG and house of Kolor, you can beat them.
Bruno Posted August 24, 2014 Author Posted August 24, 2014 Thanks everyone! John, I saw yours and you did a superb job on it too! Niko, that shade of silver on the wheels is just Tamiya semi-gloss clear sprayed over the chrome Chris, I use BASF Glassurit 90 series waterborne basecoat (because that's what we use at work...) and Redline 4:1 urethane clearcoat, which is a cheap 2 part urethane clear, which is what I like to use on model cars because it's not too thick, more than good enough for model cars and easier to wet sand / polish than the high end automotive urethane clears
Bowtienutz Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 very nice job Bruno of replicating the car of some the friendliest guys in pro stock. Great detail work in the engine compartment doing the carbs and the fuel regulator. The kit may not be accurate but you made it come to life and made it believable.
Silver Foxx Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 A great looking build , the paintwork is awesome , lots of nice detail .
