I backed my car into a Cop car the other day, well he just drove off.... sometimes I forget,

I run my mouth off a bit too much, oh what did I say, well you just laughed it off.... it was all okay.

You say the hill's too steep to climb.... climbing,

You say you'd like to see me try........... climbing,

You pick the place and I'll choose the time,

and I'll climb that hill in my own way.....

Is it ok to try to bring back a stalled thread?

How about these lyrics:

You know she likes the lights

At night on the neon Broadway signs

She don’t really mind

It’s only love she hoped to find

Let's try an uptempo oldie:

"Well I went down in the valley one day (I went down in the valley one day)

Met old Satan on my way (met old Satan on my way)

What did you reckon old Satan did say (what did you reckon old Satan did say)

He said 'turn back, boy, you're too young to pray'..."

(Hints: A duo. Almost made the national top 100 in 1963 but did much better on local charts. Appeared in a movie. Their career ended when one of them was in a car crash in 1966. Not Jan and Dean.)

Sooner or later, when your big chance has come

You'll look for the catches, and there will be none

Remember before, you grabbed the money and run

but Someone is watching you........

Why doesn't anyone believe in loneliness?

Stand up and everyone can see your Holiness.......

Absolutely!  Here's another.....

Well, the Universe is shaped exactly like the Earth

If you go straight along, you'll end up where you were.....

We don't wonder where we're going, or remember where we've been

We've got to keep this traffic flowing and accept a little sin....

Now there’s a song I haven’t heard in a while. Long Line of Cars by Cake.

I've had this lyric running through my head ever since my brother-in-law unexpectedly dropped dead a couple weeks ago:

They say Jesus will find you wherever you go,

But when He'll come looking for you, they don't know.

How about something from the early 2010s?

There is a song

You’re trembling to its tune

At the request of the moon

Licking her chops

She looks at the lunatics

She needs another fix

Every time I hear a news report on the Corona Virus I start hearing this song in my head:

...honey we got your disease...You're in the jungle baby
You're gonna die
In the jungle, welcome to the jungle

Movie: Hootenanny Hoot (1963).

Joe Gilbert was killed when his sports car overturned on the Long Beach Freeway on the way home from a concert in Orange County.

How about something space-themed?

Though I’m past one hundred thousand miles

I’m feeling very still

And I think my spaceship knows which way to go

Tell my wife I love her very much she knows

Posted

I had all and then most of you

Some and now none of you...

...I don’t know what I’m supposed to do

Haunted by the ghost of you

(Hint: a 2x Platinum sales Certified song from the mid-2010s)

Classic Bowie, of course. B)
