unclescott58 Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 (edited) RE: I'm sorry. I'm not always the quickest wit. Sometimes I need the joke explained to me. I assume this is meant as a joke of some sort? Or am I missing the point completely? Scott ------------------------------------------------------------------------ And the answer is... Southpier was referring to the guys sitting on the wing eating noodles, as opposed to the usual connotation of "ricers", referring to Asian import tuner cars. And then, from Wikipee: "Noodling is fishing for catfish using only bare hands, practiced primarily in the southern United States. The noodler places his hand inside a discovered catfish hole. Many other names, such as catfisting, grabbling, graveling, hogging, cat-daddling, dogging, gurgling, tickling and stumping, are used in different regions for the same activity." ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Then, we get the completely out of context picture of a noodler from Greg. Thanks Bill/Ace. Interesting, but not a great joke (or maybe a pun?). In other words, even after having it explained me, I'm still not laughing. Sorry guys. Ace-Garageguy Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 (edited) Admittedly, it probably wasn't a real side-splitter, but I thought it was worth a little smile, at least. Edited September 8, 2014 by Ace-Garageguy
Greg Myers Posted September 9, 2014 Author Posted September 9, 2014 "noodlers" , noodleing , same group
Greg Myers Posted September 9, 2014 Author Posted September 9, 2014 I always thought the wings were for taller guys pushing the cars when they broke down. Some of them look like handles on shopping carts.
unclescott58 Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 He who laughs last didn't get the joke Now for some reason I did laugh over this quote. Scott
Joe Handley Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 (edited) He who laughs last didn't get the joke Or just thinks r...e...a...l...l...y.........s...l...o...w...l...y Edited September 10, 2014 by Joe Handley
Superpeterbilt Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 I gained 2 horsepower by changing my headlight bulbs, and putting stickers on my fenders. Lets race!!!
Mike_G Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 I got a Monza exhaust tip big enough to put a grapefruit in It came off a '78 Ford Fiesta
Petetrucker07 Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 Dont forget to list all the stuff you put on your car and what audio components are inside, on your back window. Sort of a contents list, if you will.
Sixx Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 I just looked at this thread...that very first pic had me laughing so hard !!!!!!!! I even had tears in my eyes!!! So funny!
Ace-Garageguy Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 I got a Monza exhaust tip big enough to put a grapefruit in Why would you want to put a grapefruit in your exhaust tip? Won't that make the car go slower?
Petetrucker07 Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 Size comparison. Or coffee can tip, if that analogy works better
Ace-Garageguy Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 Why would you want to put a grapefruit in your exhaust tip? Won't that make the car go slower? Size comparison. Or coffee can tip, if that analogy works better See, I was figuring the grapefruit-in-the-exhaust-tip was the newest internet-expert trick for making horsepower. You know, pro-biotic-citrus-reversion-technology...or something. Too bad there's no "sarcasm" smiley though.
Mike_G Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 Why would you want to put a grapefruit in your exhaust tip? Because a cantaloupe is too big.
Danny Lectro Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 Because a cantaloupe is too big. Then you need a bigger exhaust tip!
Ace-Garageguy Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 Then you need a bigger exhaust tip! Bigger is always better.
Joe Handley Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 Because a cantaloupe is too big. I those were meant for taking care of the coal rollers
unclescott58 Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 That's why I put the potato in the neighbors exhaust pipe when I was a teen. It was to improve their car's performance. To bad they didn't appreciate the help I was giving them. I was such a kind and caring kid as a teen. Scott
blunc Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 now we have to add fruit and melons to make our cars go faster? next they'll be adding cheese graters to improve traction. (< sarcasm smiley)
Superpeterbilt Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 I knew a moron(good friend) in high school that actually though the racing stripes on his car made it faster. Honest truth.
