Hey, hey, hey, this morning was kinda "iffy" but I did a car show anyway, and it turned out to be a nice day after all. The next week or so is supposed to be really nice as well. I'm gonna try and "stretch" summer for as long as I can, no matter what the date is on the calendar. While the fall is a great time of the year, it is also a time to prepare for winter, which does not thrill me. However I have changed my attitude about winter, and it did seem to help some.

Come on Dave, your from Minneapolis. None of that negative talk about summer being over. I'm not ready for cooler weather! I love Minnesota, but I hate the winters here. And do not mention that evil four left word. You know the one (S-N-O-W).

That reminds my, if I go out at this time of the year to see if my snowblower runs okay, we'll have very little snow this winter. If I wait till the first snow fall, the snowblower will not run and we'll get tons of snow. I better check that snowblower in the next day or two!

goodbye summer? i'm still waiting for summer to get here. 60's during the day and low 40's at night. the leaves are starting to turn.

only 6 more months till spring.

The leaves are just barely starting to turn here... still about 98% green. But remember... in a week it'll be October! Seems about the right time to be saying goodbye to summer.

true. the back yard seems bare without all the chairs and tables on the deck, the garden gone, the pool closed...... anyone wanna buy a house in northern Ohio? i'd love to have a bonfire with all my winter clothes.

Winter... Time for the workhorse Cub Cadet to come out.

Plows foothigh snow like nothing, even pulled a Dodge pickup with a hanging transmission up the driveway mid-winter before.

For me, there is never a good time to say goodbye to summer.

Meanwhile here Downunder it's spring and summer is fast approaching :) !!

Sure rub it in Ray! :) Summer isn't quite done here I'm happy to say. This last week was beautiful. Daytime temps the 70's F. This weekend the temps are in the 80's F. Who can complain? Though I hear we're heading back down to more normal temps for this time of the year later week. But, for now I'm the King of Egypt. I'm in deNile about winter coming!

This morning at 5:30 when out with the dogs it really felt like fall...cool, down in the 60s. The next 6-7 months is my favorite time of year here.

9 am here and I have the doors and windows open with the ceiling fans on. Most mornings now are quite pleasent. AC will be required later in the afternoon. Fall in the desert.
