Very nice build..I like every aspect of it..I have one question though and it doesn't only pertain to your car but others as well..What is with the yellow track bars on the back end of the car..I know Mopars don't need them but most GM model builders put them on..Why is this? Your build is top shelf and is clean,clean,clean...Very well done...

I follow this build and I can say that I really admire the level of fine detayls you put on it! Awesome build so far!

Thats super nice. I want to do one. Did you have to paint the back before using the decal for the stripe?

Hi Chris, thanks. Yes you should paint a section of the rear of the car. The back decals do not cover the entire area that needs to be the color the decal blends into.

excellent build, would be hard to tell from a real one with a little photo-chop magic.

by any chance were you going to add a latch wire for the master cylinder cover, wouldn't want that flying off under hard acceleration. ;)

Hi Mike, yup I plan to add that. I forgot during the build, and didn't realize it till you pointed it out lol. I have plans at some point of repainting the hood anyway due to a couple of hair line cracks in the paint that I stupidly caused.

Hi And thanks Wayne, Is your question about the track bars in general or is it about the color of them. I dont know about other GM cars, but I do know that on most Baldwin Motion version GM cars, track bars were added during the dealer conversion. So to build a accurate Baldwin Motion Car, it's my understanding that track bars should be part of the build. And most were yellow. Why? I'm not really sure. Some of the GM guru's would probably be able to explain it better than I could.

Just beautiful Jim. I like how you did it in oddball colors too

Hi Fred, thanks buddy. I chose the color becuase I wanted to do something a little different than what I saw everyone else doing, with so many builds if this kit done with the white stripes, I just thought doing one with the black and with a non traditional color would help it stand out.

Jim this is the Lord speaking. You need to build a Chevell, and it shall be blue. And it will solve world hunger, and make world peace.

LMAO You had me and my wife laughing in stiches with that one. The closest thing I got to a Chevelle in the stash at the moment, is a Camino. I know, I know, I need to build up the inventory. Give me time.

bet ya didn't know it was me did ya?

Well you sure had me fooled

Hi Jim, your workbench build was an inspiration.

A beautiful model with outstanding detailing, this is what makes it in my opinion.

Paint job is excellent and the model is altogether just fantastic.

Congrats to a fine build,

Michael

Thanks guys for all the nice comments. I was pretty pleased with how this build turned out, even though at times it game me some struggles. I am in the process of planning out a couple of more builds and I hope to start a new buid thread soon.
