Gluebomber Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 These are the 1/43 Monogram Ultimate Cobra and Corvette. The Vette is box stock, the Cobra has some engine details added. Paint on both is Tamiys spray decanted and airbrushed. These are outstanding kits and it's too bad Monogram/Revell didn't continue the series. All comments, positive and negative are welcome. Thanks for looking>
cobraman Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 Nice work ! I build both of them several years ago. Pretty nice little kits. Gotta love those Cobra wheels.
MrObsessive Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 Very well done! Too bad that Revell didn't see fit to bring us an up-to-date 289 Cobra in 1/25th like they did the Corvette. I have both of these unbuilt as well and for their size, there's quite a lot of detail!
robertw Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 Beautiful builds of two uncommon kits. They were very nicely detailed kits but unfortunately released into a population of modellers where 1/25 scale is the king. I would think that many European modellers hunted these kits down where 1/43 scale is a lot more popular.
peter31a Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 Those kits are sweet. And you've done a great job with them.
Silver Foxx Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 These are real nice builds , I have both of these to build and I hope they turn out as lovely as yours , well done .
jrherald420 Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 I just won 1st place with my 289 Cobra in the box stock class. Im building my 2nd right now with 2 more Cobras and 3 Vettes in the waiting line. I love these kits!!
blueovl150 Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 These little jewels can make for awesome kitbash fodder, when used with some of AMT's 1/43 scale offerings!
geetee66 Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 Terrific job on both! Working on other scales is good practice, i reckon.
