freakshow12 Posted March 31, 2015 Author Posted March 31, 2015 Got some work done on this one. It's stiiing on all fours. Got the stance where I want it. Another test fit of the mill to see if the pan and headers clear. They do! Yay. On we go!
Guest Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 Nice work! Love the stance! That looks like a lot of my builds. Mocked up with the coil wire sticking up! Haha. Love it!
microwheel Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 (edited) Hey there Fred, cool ya finally got back to the duster, been looking forward to seeing your progress on it. Nice stance and love the hemi in it. Edited March 31, 2015 by microwheel
slusher Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 Glad to see this Duster back Fred, great stance...
restoman Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 Very nice! Love that monster between the fenders!
BirdWatcher Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 Wait...I missed the part where you shaved the wipers! Great work Fred!
Stray Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 she's pretty just wearing primer man. And she's single!
afx Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 I really like the engine Fred. Glad you didn't go with the chromed valve covers. I like honest engines that aren't all dolled up with chrome bits.
carnut Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 (edited) Wow I'm really digging this. Can't wait to see more. I got my coffee and watching this, what color are you going to paint it? Edited April 2, 2015 by carnut
freakshow12 Posted April 2, 2015 Author Posted April 2, 2015 Thanks guys. It's going to be plum crazy with a white interior and stripes. Good and go wing will be black. I like my engines clean but industrial looking too unless it's a show car or something. Not much Chrome
Roadrunner Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 Sounds good. Years ago, Dusters and Swingers could be seen all over the place around here, but not anymore. I haven''t seen a Duster in eons.
freakshow12 Posted April 2, 2015 Author Posted April 2, 2015 They are hard to come by up here too. Few mid 70s ones but 71/2s forget it
BigEdsGarage Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 Too Funny!!! I actually know the guy who's car that is. Mike used to live up here in CT but moved to FL. We would race together at Lebanon Valley NY. The real car was a small block/auto/ 8 3/4 car just like mine. He'll be thrilled you picked his car for inspiration. Great job so far, love the stance and the tucked in meats.
freakshow12 Posted April 2, 2015 Author Posted April 2, 2015 That's awesome! You will have to show him this then. I love his car! Only thing is I like the look of a tucked drag radial car better
freakshow12 Posted April 5, 2015 Author Posted April 5, 2015 Back on this after a busy weekend. Cage coming together. It's actually just getting door bars after this and that's it.
freakshow12 Posted April 5, 2015 Author Posted April 5, 2015 Chassis work is winding down. Got everything set up to move the springs inboard, subframe connectors coming along too then it's primer time for this. I am putting rack and pinion steering on the front too and also a driveshaft loop. Plus full 3" exhaust has to fit. Lots to do!
Stray Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 So precise. This is gonna look badass when it's done dude.
mustang1989 Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 Nice job on the leaf spring re-position Fred. Glued to the set man....glued to it!!
dino246gt Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 Very nice work on this, hey if you don't have a MoPar decal for the oil filter, what I've done is take my metal edge 6" ruler and cut a thin red and blue stripe from any decal, it's easy to find enough red and blue, then just wrap them around leaving white between them, not totally accurate but it does give just another bit of "wow-ness" to an already WOW build.
