StevenGuthmiller Posted December 27, 2014 Author Posted December 27, 2014 Thank you Danno! Thanks Bob! Steve
Mopar - D Posted December 27, 2014 Posted December 27, 2014 Steve I enjoyed following this one and it came out looking perfect. I like the engine compartment the most.
StevenGuthmiller Posted December 28, 2014 Author Posted December 28, 2014 Thanks Dan! The Long Ram engine was a big reason why I started this one in the first place. I'm afraid the '65 Chrysler I'm building next will be a little more boring under the hood. Steve
charlie8575 Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 Nice job, Steve. I always thought the 1963-'64 Chryslers were an interesting design and you captured them well. Charlie Larkin
my80malibu Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 (edited) Hey Steve if you happen to do the door panel detailing could you be sure to post pictures of that please? Oops thought I was in on the workbench section. LOL Edited December 29, 2014 by my80malibu
6bblbird Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 Your detail work really makes this kit stand out! That is one kit that I passed on many times (no interest) but I would love to have one now! WF
W-409 Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 This turned out really good! This body has never been one of my personal favorites either, but I have to say that this looks very, very good. Your paint and detail work is always so nice and clean, but as always... That incredible BMF work blows me away. I hope you can get around taking a couple of outside pics for us. Not that there's something wrong with these, but models always seem to look even better in outside shots.

Only problem is, the sun finally came out here in Minnesota, but the temp is only 8 degrees with 6 inches of snow on the ground. It's supposed to get even colder over the coming days so it may be a while before I can get some outside shots. Steve
StevenGuthmiller Posted December 29, 2014 Author Posted December 29, 2014 Thanks everybody! I never really envisioned myself building one of these either, but I'm really glad I did! It turned out to be one of the most fun builds I've done in some time. & you know me, I like to build cars that are a little more unusual. Steve

Steve I understand that problem very well as we have the same kind of problem here in Finland... Though it's not 8 degrees, we had -2 degrees today (Fahrenheits). Anyway this Chrysler turned out really nice! Edited December 29, 2014 by W-409
StevenGuthmiller Posted December 30, 2014 Author Posted December 30, 2014 Thanks Guys! Niko, supposed to get down to -7 tonight & -15 tomorrow night with wind chills in the -30 degree range! I guess winter is here! Steve
Curt Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 Very nice, Steve. Your clean and realistic builds are always candy for the eye!
StevenGuthmiller Posted December 30, 2014 Author Posted December 30, 2014 Thanks Curt! I really appreciate that! Steve
StevenGuthmiller Posted January 1, 2015 Author Posted January 1, 2015 I had never posted from Photo Bucket before, so I thought I'd give it a shot. Steve
StevenGuthmiller Posted January 3, 2015 Author Posted January 3, 2015 Thanks Bill! Working on"little brother" right now. A '65 Chrysler 300. Steve
StevenGuthmiller Posted January 18, 2015 Author Posted January 18, 2015 Well, the weather finally broke a little here in Minnesota, so I was able to get outside & get a few "sunshine" photos of the Chrysler. Someone one this thread had requested some & I needed to get them taken anyway, so here they are! Steve
Bob Ellis Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 Nice detailing. The wire wheels from that kit?
StevenGuthmiller Posted January 18, 2015 Author Posted January 18, 2015 Nice detailing. The wire wheels from that kit? Yeah Bob. That's what was on the built up when I got it. I think a lot of these old Johan kits had them around this time period. I thought about ordering a set of factory wheel covers from Modelhaus, but I never really liked the looks of the '64 hub caps anyway & I've always been partial to wires, so I used them. I added a set of 2 bar spinners from a Lindberg '61 Chevy kit also. Steve
Jade043 Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 Great looking build and I really like the engine detail.
FASTBACK340 Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 ………………….. ………………………………………….. Stunning build Steve, stunning!
