Tom Geiger Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 Love the headliner. It's details like this that make the model!
wayne swayze Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 Love the headliner. It's details like this that make the model! I concur entirely! Nice touch! The entire truck looks like it will be superb when finished.
James2 Posted February 2, 2015 Author Posted February 2, 2015 Fine tuning some things before paint prep begins...
Greg Pugh Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 LOVE....the look of this one! It's perfect!
Revstew Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 And a little headliner action... How do you do these contours in the head liner and fire wall? Do you layer styrene or so you scribe lines into a thicker sheet of styrene and if so what do you use to scribe and not make cuts. This truck looks amazing and cant wait to see it with color. Great wheel and tire combo.
James2 Posted February 6, 2015 Author Posted February 6, 2015 Thanks guys. I do layer the parts. I cut out the backing and shape it to fit. Then cut strips at the width I need, bevel or round off the edges and then glue them to the back piece. I like to place a little weight on the part and let it dry. Trim, sand and fit!
James2 Posted February 7, 2015 Author Posted February 7, 2015 Get your color on... Freshly painted, poor lighting but sneak peek anyway.
James2 Posted February 7, 2015 Author Posted February 7, 2015 Thank you Greg, it is Tamyia Clear Red over Light Gunmetal.
wayne swayze Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 Any updates on this wicked truck? I love it!
