This build was ever meant for a 24-hr build, never meant for a very serious build. Just to have fun. But live turns different sometimes.

I found a job just before the 24hr build and I'd rather spent the time with my family instead, so I cancelled the 24hr build. Leaving me with 2 purpose-made builds. I only prepared the paintjob for the build. I know it can be seen as cheating, but I spent a long time on the paintjob and since a 24hr build is for fun, I don't care if it is cheating, it is my build hehe.

In the months after, modelling was set to a very low pace and I had before christmas a 2 week vacation, of which I am finishing now. I set the goal to finish at least one model and made it.

The AMT Dodge Challenger R/T with a 440 sixpack was finished today and it isn't a very good model. It was seriously polishing a turd. But I am quite happy with how it ended up. I had a few setbacks during the build, but I managed to overcome the issues.

One thing that made me mad, was the decals. I wanted them on and put them on the body. I used Sol on the back of the car, to get the decal to set on the curves, but it didn't work. So I thought to omit the decals, but when I got them off, the sol had left marks in the paint and I had to airbrush the go-faster stripes with the airbrush, covering the mistakes.

Anyway; I had some issues with my camera and the model doesn't look very nice in the pictures. In real life, it seriously looks a whole lot better. but here goes:

Looks pretty good to me.

One question though,, why didn't you foil the windshield frame? Just seems odd as you foiled the rest of the trim.

Other than the decals, why is this kit a turd? It looks pretty good to me. Your not the first person I've read complaining about this kit. I have one in storage, waiting to be built. Again, it does not look too bad to me.

Very nice, although there seems to be a flaw in your paint finish. It seems to have a bunch of ghost lettering all over it. :P

I also have this kit in the pile to do at some point, if I can get mine to turn out anything like yours Id be more than happy,

Great job Erik, and i love the engine detail/wiring.
