that is amazing work !!! the best "real" looking engine I have seen so far, wish I could do that.

so I finally did some more work on this build

painted a metallic blue craft paint. then weathered with artist oils. the chrome trim is cheap HVAC tape from the dollar tree.

Great job, only thing missing is a burnt spot on the hood, then you can detail the carb a little, display it with a screw driver and a wrench on the fender with the air cleaner off and sitting on the other fender.

So someone painted a Z16 blue, and then let it go to seed. Interesting.....

OTOH, I like your rot at the bottom edge of the rear window. Seen that many times on GM A-bodies (and F-bodies, and other makes and models as well).

Really love that wire trick on those pulleys that one pays off in a big way. Been around a while and have never seen anyone do that one, thanks a lot for sharing. Sometimes the simplest tricks and tweets look better than some of the expensive do-dads!

Excellent work on the engine! One thing I really liked was the throttle spring - great detail for a stock appearance! Usually this item is too big, too many coils, etc. But yours really looks the part!!

Not to mention the rest of the details....really fine work!
