Just saw her for the first time last night on SNL. In all three appearances--and the promos for the show that ran all week--she appeared to wearing a monstrously, comically large fake unibrow. It covered half her face or more. Is she a Cyclops?

Ironically enough, you couldn't Sia at all with that getup.

It was weird. She managed to make Gaga on her weirdest day (meat dress, maybe?) look like the local Sunday School teacher.

She is very opposed to publicity pics. Howard Stern interviewed her a few months back. She doesnt like to photographed by the media. But she will do personal pics, with friends and what not.

Freak.

Just another variation of the freak genre. Always gotta come up with something more bizarre than the last freak.

I saw the SNL performance and found her intriguing. Music wasn't bad. The support performers were pretty weird but if you accept it as performance art and try to appreciate it as a form of artistic expression then I'm okay letting them do weird stuff... I don't feel threatened by the unusual. I had to Wiki her last night though. Family of artists.

She wrote that song for Rhianna, Diamonds. She does the whole mask her face, stand with back to the audience to keep her face anonymous. She wanted to remain a song writer and not be famous. Then someone in the business heard her voice and convinced her to do her own album.

i am baffled that someone still watches SNL.

It's usually a waste of electrons these days, but two or three times a season they manage to put together a good show. Last night I actually laughed out loud five or six times, once so hard my sides hurt.

I saw that too, and wondered the same thing. Her second song, she faced the side of the stage and not the audience. It all seems way too pretentious to me... another pop singer taking herself waaaaaaaay too seriously and trying to turn pop music into "art." She has a nice voice.... she doesn't need the sideshow act and the goofy dancers and mime.

My reaction too. I wikied her this morning and was amazed to see she's almost 40. That's WAY too old for this affected nonsense, especially when she actually seems to be a talented singer AND songwriter.

Lady Gaga is just plain weird. Madonna is another nut job that could sing. I really can't get into the strange stuff. She should have wore a mask...

Lady Gaga's new album with Tony Bennett is spot-on.

Tony Bennett classes it up she is still is a nut job...

I don't care for Tony Bennett's music at all. Just not my thing. Haven't bothered to listen to Gaga's work with him. Not interested at all.

I still dig her, though.

Some "artists" try to use controversy to substitute for too little talent.

True, but that's obviously not this Sia woman's problem.

That's the weird thing. She's actually a very good singer and doesn't need the "controversy" at all.

I don't either. But they're still freaks.

Some have very strange behavior and I really don't care for it...
