Porscheman Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 (edited) Here I go again with another quick build. I picked this Torino up Saturday at a LHS. Sunday I painted it Testors Grabber Orange Lacquer with 3 coats of Testors Wet Look Clear top coat and BMF all exterior and interior trim. The interior is done in Tamiya's Semi Gloss Black and the Window were tinted with 3 very light coats of Tamiya's Clear Blue. AMT's RWL tires were used instead of the kit supplied tires. Let me know what you think. Thank for looking. Al Edited January 19, 2015 by Porscheman
vintagercr Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 Wow that's amazing. Did you use a dehydrator for paint?
peekay Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 It always baffles me how you can turn out such a great looking model in that time. I'd need at least a week just for for the paint!
Porscheman Posted January 19, 2015 Author Posted January 19, 2015 (edited) Wow that's amazing. Did you use a dehydrator for paint? Thanks guys, I dry my paint on a Tamiya paint stand in front of a Infrared Quartz Heater, it cuts the drying time down to a couple of minutes. As soon as I'm sure it's dry, I polish the body out with the Treatment model wax. Al Edited January 19, 2015 by Porscheman
cobraman Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 Very nice Al. Hard to believe something that nice can be turned out so quickly.
Burnout Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 That's very nice. I too am impressed with how fast you can turn out something so sweet.

Porscheman Posted January 23, 2015 Author Posted January 23, 2015 (edited) great job!! Beautiful build!! What type of quartz heater? Did it have a fan?? also did you can paint can it or airbrush! awesome job. john Thank you again. The heater is a 6 element 1500 watt with a blower. The fan blows soft, so not stir up any dust. All my models I do are painted using rattle cans and using the Wet Look Clear really levels out any imperfections in the paint finish. Al Edited January 23, 2015 by Porscheman
