chunkypeanutbutter Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 It's very lightly snowing out there, but it's going to be a full-on blizzard soon.
Foxer Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 I'm in far western Massachusetts and we have hardly anything. Was about 2" this morning and maybe another 2" through the day. Those along the coast will get much more than us, but mu son along the Jersey shore said it was nothing there.
Can-Con Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 Took this pic out my front door just before noon. Still going like this now, about 8 hours later.
Belugawrx Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 Woof Took this pic out my front door just before noon. Still going like this now, about 8 hours later.
Ace-Garageguy Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 Looks beautiful to me. Hope you have a nice big pile of dry firewood and plenty of warm blankets. I don't see any power lines. Do you have underground utilities there?

Do you have underground utilities there? Just another mid-winter storm here. We've had way worse. The power lines are in back of the houses on my street. Looks cleaner but probably not so good for the power company if the lines come down somewhere and need fixed. pic from 2008 Edited January 28, 2015 by Can-Con
Tesla Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 I live in central Massachusetts and at 4:27 pm Jan. 27 we had 35 inches! A record breaker for sure.
chris02719 Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 We only got about 25 here by the coast. They haven't gotten around to plowing my street yet. Should be interesting to see how long it takes and what they have to use to plow it. The little pickups they usually use won't cut it this time.
chunkypeanutbutter Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 Just looked outside, and a conservative estimate.... I'd say about a foot and a half. It's stopped snowing, but more may be on the way Thursday night.
Fabrux Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 I've heard there's another whack of snow coming this weekend/Monday. Whereabouts in Maine are you, Miles?
Danny Lectro Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 We got about a foot or so in the 5 Boros, much less than predicted. I'm glad for that. I have friends and relatives out on Long Island, they actually had 24-36 inches by the time it was over.
Ace-Garageguy Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 Couple nice very recent snow shots from the New York Daily News, this one of the Long Island RR.
Foxer Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 haha New York only got a dusting .. those are like daily photos in snow country. Even in the mountains north of NYC it was only a dusting.
Agent G Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 What's all that white stuff? Why are those people wearing what look like coats........? G
High octane Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 We're supposed to get a bunch of snow this weekend, and I hope not as I don't mind not using my Toro this winter.
chunkypeanutbutter Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 Yesterday's rain/snow/c.rap mix melted about a foot of snow here.
Can-Con Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 Snowing here again. Was supposed to have some people over tonight as I'll be 50 at midnight. Cancelled on account of snow.
Tom Geiger Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 Barely got a few inches in the suburbs west of Philadelphia. The deer have to look for the bare spots to feed on the grass. They all pose for the camera because they think they're gonna get a hand out!
Fabrux Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 Snowing here again. Was supposed to have some people over tonight as I'll be 50 at midnight. Cancelled on account of snow. You're turning into an old man, Steve! Weather permitting I hope to go to the meeting on Tuesday. Hope to see you there!
High octane Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 The good news is that we're out of the month of January and getting closer to spring.
forthlin Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 The good news is that we're out of the month of January and getting closer to spring. We're getting up to 15" of snow by tonight with a low of 5 degrees & heavy winds. Spring can't get here soon enough.
