Chief Joseph Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 (edited) Hello friends, Today I've released a new item from Fireball Modelworks. Door handles for late-50's through 1972 passenger cars! As usual, these pieces were designed in 3D and pressure-cast in polyurethane resin. Each pack contains four pairs (that's eight pieces). They are 1/24 scale, but will work with 1/25 scale really well. Ordering and pricing details for item FMR-047 are available at Fireball Modelworks. Thanks for looking! TooOld Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 I received my door handles today along with a pair of Rochester carbs (and some wheels/tires) , and I gotta say that these are much more impressive when you hold them in your hands . . . these parts are beautifully detailed ! Thank you very much Joseph , I'm looking forward to seeing what you do next !
impcon Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 (edited) I received my door handles today and am absolutely, totally impressed and pleased! Everything is first rate including the packaging - each set of handles arrived n it's own tiny padded box !!!! These are exactly what I need for my SMP '59 Impala redo and while not authentic to a model of this age, they will add a touch of class and now I can get back to the build. I put it on hold when I saw the door handles and I ordered them right away! This is an answer to a need for many of us who like a bit of external detail without spending a lot of time trying to painstakingly carve out the back sides of door handles. Thanks Joe and I know that I will be ordering more. Maybe this will be the start of a real quality expanding line of door handles as well as a variety of difficult to find door and fender mirrors??? *hint, hint* I'd be in for some of thse, that is for certain!!! These handles are highly recommended - I'd give these a AAA+++ rating for quality and service!!! Now, back to work and we return you to our regular programming... Edited February 6, 2015 by impcon
Erik Smith Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 (edited) Can't say enough about the quality of products and service from Joseph at Fireball Modelworks. I have a number of his items including these new door handles and they are top notch. Very fine and probably the only actual scale replicas ever made - kit pieces tend to be bulky even of molded separate. Edited February 7, 2015 by Erik Smith
ShredHippie Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 These look amazing...Joseph's work is on a level by itself.
