crazyrichard
well finally its coming together a bit ... i feel now the detailing started it comes more to life and everytime i play with more tones and stuff added a brake booster in the chassis with a rod going directly to the pedal via a hinge ... put a brakeline on already other side needs to be linked .. crazyrichard
i was playing with some wheel idea's , the rear tyres are big and no normal rim would fit , so i had to make a custom rim for that tyre choice after the same paint and powder as the scalops on the body i put on ford caps and washed in the letters with black . i dont like it yet i might do a two tone on the blue rim edge rough idea of the whole with a engine , not the engine that def. will go in just pulled one out of the partsbox for this pic
crazyrichard
hmm after posting the previous post i just hated the rims .. also the rears looked too massive so after looking through my stash i found these noce chomes .. could fit them in the rear rim .. leaving that so the diameter was still correct , altered the width for the front and voila .. looks way better and less ratty .. so now i can put in a shiney engine ... crazyrichard
hmm didnt like the wheels so tried this > ps this engine is not going in .. also wont put a blower on it .. will be more traditional ... i dont know what it is with this build but every time i'm in doubt or dont like it as much .... holding on though ... crazyrichard
i had one 32 ford grille left .. will make the shell rusted like the body with a chrome grille one thing i dont have is a front axle so i will have to make something myself ..probl. will make a cross leaf spring version .. just because its cool ! crazyrichard
well i made axles for the rear wheels , drilled open the rear axle and rim and now i can put on and remove the wheels when needed .. the position needs some tweeking (camber) on the bottom iput some gold on the brake booster and 2 decals (acle and fluid reservoir) .. later i will add more detail on the bottom ... i could just make some pics outside (was going dark) .. outside pics show the tones and rust way more like irl .. on the bench pics look less like irl .. the chassis pics are quit clear but when i put it on the wheels it was going dark outside quick so they are less bright ... for now it sits up on the lift ... 10thumbs
Amazing! I like the shiny parts mixed in with the old rusty metal. The contrast looks cool. Michael
crazyrichard
thnx tonight i started with giving the rims a wash with black .. more depth and less sterile then gave the grilleshell a first coat of rust and the grill insert is a mix of dark metal coat and then polished with a black wash to imitate aluminium and then i knew it .. the problem where the white walls .. sooo white against the rust and brown .. so i washed them with oil paint to get the tone more to the body in the front i gave it a even wash .. so its more a tone , the rears have a effect more like filth Edited March 3, 2015 by crazyrichard

JasonFL
Really liking what you did to the bottom side. I was a big fan of the first rear rims that were deep dish because it's exactly what I want to use on my 32 ford sitting on the bench. Then you whip out the current rim setup and they end up being a perfect fit for this build, especially after you black washed them. I have a lot to learn. Can't wait to see more. crazyrichard
thnx guys ... but here are some daylight / outdoor shots .. these just show how it looks so much better then the night time bench shots made some dark spots in the rust on the grille shell
geemoney
love the term "fantasy suspension" I would be tempted to make it a 100" wheelbase. a 6 or 8 carbed pont / olds! love it!!!
