slusher Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 Here is my AMT 93 Ford Ranger I built. Its painted in Electric Red just like my 1;1 Ranger I owned. I did paint the head lights and turn signals. I seem to like that look. its built box stock and the four wheeler is something I put in the back. Comments welcome...
afx Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 I had a '93 Ranger, owned an '85 before it and '10 after it. Drove it for 220,000 miles before I sold it. Great trucks.
hjracing Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 Great build! I really like it! This is a quad in the rear of the truck? Is 1/25?
cobraman Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 Nice to see you post another build Carl. You have a very clean building style. I like it !
slusher Posted February 17, 2015 Author Posted February 17, 2015 Great build! I really like it! This is a quad in the rear of the truck? Is 1/25? Jose the quad is a 1/32 diecast I picked up at Walmart...
Drake69 Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 Jose the quad is a 1/32 diecast I picked up at Walmart... 1/32? It looks to scale with the pickup! Nice build!
10thumbs Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 Hi Carl, You do indeed build very clean models! The red paint is really snappy and smooth with a great gloss. What kills me is the Diorama too, I have to look further into a good looking background like yours. Nicely photographed and a nice touch with the quad sitting out back. Well done. Michael
Atmobil Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 That looks very good, is the kit more detailed than the promo version?
BLOODBANE Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 Nice build. I wish there were some early Ranger kits out there (83-85). I have a built up 1:1 Ranger that I would love to build a model of. May have to try out my styrene skills one of these days.
slusher Posted February 18, 2015 Author Posted February 18, 2015 That looks very good, is the kit more detailed than the promo version? I Really wish I could answer that but I don't know anything about the promo version. This is a really good kit. The front I beams and front suspenstion is a little tricky but a real good kit and nice 2.4 cyl engine. Thanks for your comment...
Chuck Most Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 Very cool. I'm working on one of these kits right now.
Ramfins59 Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 Carl, that looks really great. You laid down a nice, smooth and glossy paint job.
hjracing Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 Jose the quad is a 1/32 diecast I picked up at Walmart... Thanks Carl. It's seemes tyo me more a 1/25 than 1/32. Really nice combo!
