tim boyd Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 (edited) Tom's been going through his fantastic display case of of 55 vears of model building, and photographing and posting some of his favorites. Here's his Screenside Delivery....one of my own personal favorite Tom Woodruff model builds. Click on the link and use the "roll" feature to read his captions that go with each picture... http://public.fotki.com/misterNNL/1927-ford-screen-si/ On behalf of Tom...thanks for looking...TIM Edited February 17, 2015 by tim boyd
Krazy Rick Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 (edited) Fantastic Tim, thanks for sharing this great one from Tom's collection - very cool Edited February 18, 2015 by Krazy Rick
James2 Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 (edited) Thanks Tom and Tim, for sharing the history and model. Unfortunately it will be lost in this section. Many members will never see it because only truck guys visit this area. But again, if all Finished automotive models were under one heading, it would be easily promoted! misterNNL Posted February 21, 2015 Posted February 21, 2015 Thanks guys.I appreciate all of the positive comments!
zaina Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 I actually saw a screen side truck at a car show this weekend. It was a Grahm Brothers truck.
Mikevango Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 Cool. I like that it has a slant six engine.

I guess that is their loss, I'm a car guy and I come to this and other sections. Its not that hard to scroll down. Tom great model and history. Thanks for sharing. bobthehobbyguy Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 Tom what place did it take and what year did it win in the MPC Contest?
misterNNL Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 Bob,This particular truck won it's share of"best truck" awards in it's day but never advanced into any national level prominence. There was nothing anything like it at the time.I was originally going to build it as a lumber truck but then the revell parts packs were readily available and I thought a load of hot rod parts would be more interesting. Thanks for asking.
bobthehobbyguy Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 Thanks Tom. Yes a hot rod parts hauler was a great idea.
