Chuck Most Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 Finally... Bruiser is complete! Long story short- I began with an incomplete AMT kit. A California Hauler coughed up it's Detroit V8, and a Paystar 5000 donated the front tires and rear wheels. Some scratch building and a few copious dips into the spares box and here we are.
Jim B Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 That's a great loking Diamond-REO. Well done.
Old Buckaroo Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 That is one fine looking work truck. Bonus points added for starting with an incomplete kit ! I really like the detail for the mirrors. Anything with a Detroit is alright by me
Old Albion Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 Very impressive looking truck. The weathering is perfect, well done.
Superpeterbilt Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 Looks great Chuck. Glad to see it finished. What mirrors did you end up using? And what did the rear tires come from?
Chuck Most Posted February 25, 2015 Author Posted February 25, 2015 Thanks, guys! Looks great Chuck. Glad to see it finished. What mirrors did you end up using? And what did the rear tires come from? The mirrors are from a Revell (Revell of Germany now) Pete 359- specifically from an incomplete Black Magic version I got for parts awhile ago. I think the rear tires are from an RC2-era reissue of the Ford C-600 stake bed.
rctruk Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 Nice looking truck......looks like its been run hard. Great job!
Kpifer2 Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 Very nice job I like everything about this truck. I really like the exhaust it says Detroit right off the bat.

I think the rear tires are from an RC2-era reissue of the Ford C-600 stake bed. Awesome. Ive never seen scale mirrors with the flattened ends on the brackets. The tires look great. Id be worried that Id rip off those fenders trying to get under a trailer The rear wheels, short hood, and dual exhaust are all features that set this off.
asfastasu Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 (edited) Very nice. The weathering looks great. That Jimmy is perfect in there, oil leaks and all!! Can almost hear it screaming away! Edited February 26, 2015 by asfastasu

kilrathy10 Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 Man, that's an ugly truck.....But with a name like Bruiser, what did you expect, right...?? Great job on this bad boy....Excellent weathering.....Looks like it just got a new set of mud flaps, this week.. ...Great job...
SpreadAxle Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 Nice job on the weathering and hood conversion.
gatorincebu Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 Tough looking truck! Been worked hard and maintained on a tight budget. Like just fix it so we can do the next job and we will worry about it later. Of course when later rolls around there is something else that needs to be fixed and on and on..................... be Well Gator
