  1. I’m sure Snake would have been impressed Gerald! Well done brother.
  2. Thank you for sharing the news Steve. Yes he was a cool cat. R.I.P. Snake.
  3. Way to go James, this is amazing!
  4. Absolutely. The only one I have with pretty good chrome is for an MPC 71 Road Runner. If you are installing the insert from an MPC 72 Road Runner you may have to remove some material from the grille surround or the insert. Reason being the insert for the 72 is deeper from the front of the car to the rear of the car if that makes any sense. The surround for the 72 insert is a little bit deeper than the 71 surround. However, if you were building a 71 and you have the 71 grill insert it will drop right in. The chrome is not perfect on this grille surround but it is pretty good. and if you’re interested, I can send it to you and no, I don’t need anything in trade for it. I’m happy just to help out but it may take me a couple days to make it to the post office to send it. Cheers – Mark.
  5. I also have a 71 roadrunner grill with the chrome stripped off it if you’re interested in that instead of the crowned one or whatever. Just let me know, buddy, as you could see, there’s plenty to choose from here! But I’m happy to be able to help you complete your project so just let me know what you need
  6. In this photo, we have some chrome pieces in pretty good condition. A front grill surround and a rear bumper with decent chrome however, these are for the 71 roadrunner. The grill insert looks as though it has never been painted, but it has got some yellow marks on it. In any case all of these are quite usable parts Jeff. You can have them all if you wish.… Both the 71 and 72 parts. I can send you all of the pieces seen in both photos. I kept what I need out of the stuff that steamboat sent me. So you can have everything seen here if you wish. Or if you just want the 71 parts or just the 72 parts we can do it that way too.
  7. Do you need the grille surround and the insert? They are separate parts. Wait, forget that last question. Do you need parts for a 71 or a 72? If you need parts for a 72 that is what is shown in this photo. The 72 grill surround and the grill insert. It appears as though the grill surround has been cast in resin and has never been crown plated and has a slight bam in the one headlight. The insert looks like it came from an actual MPC kit and it has been painted. It has been cleaned up a little bit and could probably be soaked to get the rest of the paint out before repainting it. Stay tuned for the next picture.
  8. Jeff I got them from Bill. Sorry it took so long to reply. I’ve been out of town. Let me know what part(s) you need and I will send your way.- Mark
  9. Jeff, I hope the parts arrived
  10. ybsluos

    Part needed.

    Indeed, these 2 for sure.
  11. Chuck I may be way off base, but I’m thinking that being as it is a AMT 53 your “Yellow Cat” graphics are a nod to Budd Andersen. (I probably misspelled his name). In any case an amazing build as usual brother!
  12. Emre, you did great justice to these 2 kits and I agree it is very Exner-like.
  13. Super clean build David , right on!
