crazyjim
This would be my latest completion - Lindberg's '34 Ford pickup finished in HOK rasberry II pearl. I put a modern A arm suspension up front and an IRS unit in back (although it appears to be missing a part). Engine is a small block Ford (my casting) from the Revell '23 Ford 5 window coupe. Wheels/tires are from the Revell '40 Ford pickup. John Anspach, a FAST member and super detailer, gave a tutorial on muffler clamps and I tried to duplicate his efforts here. The kit had some weak engraving for the inside door panels so I made new ones from Evergreen. The pics don't show it, but the final version has a polished aluminum steering column complete with a turn signal lever.

crazyjim
Thank you, Joker. Muffler clamp tutorial, huh? Let me ask John first if he'd mind passing on his idea. If he says no problem, I'll do it.
cobraman
Very nice build. Don't understand front plate ???
crazyjim
Thanks, Ray. The front plate is a reproduction of the Vietnam Service Medal. If a person served in the US military for 30 days or more in Vietnam, they were awarded the medal. I am a Veteran of the Vietnam War and put that ribbon on every one of my builds. Many times over the years I've been approached by fellow Veterans who notice it on my builds and start a conversation.

Sixties Sam
Great truck! I like the color, and the hinged bed cover. Nice work! I missed the Vietnam experience. when I came out of high school in 1967, they still had draft deferments for college. I went to Penn State. When they went to the birthday lottery system, I drew number 350. I admire anyone who served there. Lost a classmate to a land mine in 1969.
