  1. As someone stated previously, don't put any laquer paint over enamel. Laquer paint has solvents that will attack the enamel base and lift it. Do a laquer base, then topcoat with a clear enamel. The enamel will not attack and lift the laquer base.
  2. The 67 Galaxie would do well. Steve G stated on one of the recent topics that more builders have been requesting 67 Galaxie kit over other subjects. Who knows how it will play out. For all we know it's probably under developement as we speak.
  3. JB Weld will not hold. You need to get someone to tig weld that back on or as stated by someone else, get another case. Rock Auto has no Datsun listing but there is Nissan which owns Datsun. Here is a link for alternators if that helps. https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/nissan,1971,521+pickup,1.6l+l4,1212321,electrical,alternator+/+generator,2412
  4. Can someone going to the NNL East today take a wide shot of the Round 2 display table. Also, maybe one of the Round 2 people may know if the AMT 67 Galaxie is in the works for a future release.
  5. Thanks for offering. The front bench seat from the AMT Supernatural 67 Impala kit is the one I am looking for.
  6. Thanks for mentioning about the NNL East. I forgot that is happening this month.
  7. My gut feelings are that we will see an announcement of the AMT 67 Galaxie this summer or in the fall for a release in 2025. Also, next year the 68 Dodge Coronet Feverbee, then announcements of the MPC 69 Coronets. Other possibilities: MPC 71 Cyclone, AMT 66 Comet, MPC 72-73 Dodge trucks, a correct 68 or 69 Hemi Underglass wheel stander. These are just guesses and speculation.
  8. Here is an update on the new Coronet parts for use with the original 68 body. The front and rear bumpers fit nicely. Just need to grind off the locating pins on the back sides. The front grill will fit by grinding down the headlight bulges on the backside of the grill. The tailight lenses will fit, just need to hollow out the bezel holes a small amount. The back glass actually fits better on the original Coronet body than it does on the new Coronet body. So far, looks like good news for builders that need parts for the old original first release 68 Coronet.
  9. Got my 68 hardtop kits today. I tried fitting the chassis and interior tub from the new kit into an original MPC 68 Coronet body and it fits pretty good. Someone here mentioned that the front windshield does not fit in the original body. I tried fitting the windshield and it does fit . However the vent windows don't meet with the vent window frames. There is a about 1/16th inch space between the new windshield vent windows and the old body vent window frame. Looks like two options that can work; heat up the vent windows on the new part and bend them out a little or cut the vent windows from the new glass and glue them onto the vent window frames on the old body. Not a big problem, I think it's a pretty minor. I'll give more updates on other new parts that can be used on the old bodies.
  10. Does anyone have a front bench seat they don't need from the AMT Supernatural 67 Impala kit? I'm looking for one. Thanks George Petrillo
  11. How many days shipping did it take for you to get your Demon kit from Model Roundup? Was it regular USPS or UPS that delivered? Thanks.
  12. A Dick Landy Coronet kit would make a lot of sense and would be justified. Just need a set of Cragar wheels and the Landy decal sheet and you have another kit. Everything else is already in the kit has been released.
  13. Does anyone do the 68 Coronet Dick Landy decals? Thanks. George Petrillo
