  1. Did you get your Avanti kit wheels? I have a set.
  2. They say the roadster is the better driving car. I have heard that ventilation is non-existent in the gullwing, below 70mph, in unmodified form.
  3. Could you use the '53 Corvette 1/25 6-cyl. engine?
  4. I'm going to buy a '57 T-Bird kit. Are they all the same? One of them come with a SOHC engine. Can a stock T-Bird be built from them? Thanks
  5. Hi. Bare-Metal has a product called "Black Chrome". I have never used it.
  6. They are very nice tires; I have the kit as well. Maybe somebody can cast them; it has been done before.
  7. I messed up the intake grilles on my Lambo Countach. I think I have seen this screen before on a Ferrari kit. Can you get this "aftermarket"? Thanks
  8. Looking for parts A3 and A4. These are intake-grilles for the intakes over the rear-fenders. Thanks
  9. Hey Fat Brian! I think I have what you are looking for: I have the chassis plate, part no. 3, yes? And the frame, part no. 4. I have most of the rest of the kit except for the SOHC engine and some suspension pcs.
  10. What about sealing the tape-edge with clear paint? I read about this in model magazine.
  11. Looking for the instructions for 2 kits: '64 Dodge 330; and: '62 BelAir. Thanks
  12. My 2 cents worth: I use cigar boxes. They are between $3 and $5. The income from these boxes (of the cigar store) goes to a charity. They are all wood.
  13. Liquid cement is too thin, and Army Painter plastic glue is too thick. I have tried "Faller" brand and it is too thin for me. Please recommend something to me. Thanks
  14. The "Street Fighter" is 1/24th. My kit is molded in orange. I need the rear main body piece. It is kind of a cool kit (by Tom Daniels) but it needs a larger engine: it came with a small block Chevy. Thanks.
  15. I have the decals for '70 MPC SuperBee. Let me know.
  16. I went and bought a new kit. I'm grateful for all the comments.
  17. You're absolutely right, Dave. Other people did not seem to have any trouble fitting the grille/bumper. And Scott, I was just trying to "make a funny". I appreciate the photos of other builds of the '57 T-Bird. They look great. And if worse comes to worse, I could just buy another kit. Thanks for commenting.
  18. Mr. sfhess: I am deeply offended that you think my build, if it can be called that, is a glue bomb. I'll have you know that I am putting a shortened NASCAR chassis under it, and a 1/25 scale Ford Cammer engine. Thus I cut away all the underhood 'stuff', like the inner wheelwells and the radiator. So there was really nothing to attach a new radiator to, or for that matter, the chrome front assembly. I do apologize for the mess I photographed. I will publish more photos - maybe.
  19. So: anybody ever build this critter? Well I have. The fit of the front chrome grille/bumper is pretty bad. I 'took' my Dremel grinder to it for about a 1/2 hour, both on the body and the chrome piece. See for your self. I'm sure a bunch of you folks could have done better. I really did not fit the piece: I used epoxy and just held it in place (for another 30 minutes)! Go ahead, you try! The '57 is one American classic for sure, but the kit is not so hot. The '57 was a one-year-only design.
  20. Your warning, Ace, was right-on. Will I ever learn to trust your judgement? Eventually, yes (probably).
  21. I don't recall what paint I used. I put it on too heavy. I think I will try 'Castrol Super Clean'. Thanks
  22. Decal-lettering, heh? I think I will go for gold-leaf! Thanks, Mark
