Both of these are Revell kits. The '70 is Testors Sublime, the '09 is Testors Bright Lime.

Like many older cars, the '70 had some issues...

A minor oil leak...

and no brakes!:o

As the owner of an '11, I LIKE those Challengers!

Call me crazy (and biased), but in a lot of ways, the newer ones look a lot better than the old ones. Proportions seem to be better, especially in the front, and the roofline on the newer one is not so "heavyhanded".

BTW, what your license plate states, I've been told that by others! :D

Thanks, Rick. I used Detail Master spark plug wire. I got it at my local hobby shop. it looks pretty good but is a little pricey. I'm thinking about getting some bulk 32 ga. wire to try.

Try ignition wires and boot material from Crazy Scale Auto Parts, Rick.

If you look at Jim's '70 Road Runner in Under Glass (the yellow one), you can see what his wiring looks like. Looks good to me.

Thanks, Ray!

A nice pair for sure!

Back in the day my daily driver was a 1973 Barracuda, pretty much the Challenger twin.  A few years ago I went to Canada on business and the rental car company decided to give me a new Challenger.  I slid behind the seat and instantly I was taken back to my days with the Barracuda.  The look and feel were really captured!

The car I rented was bright red with black stripes. In the three days I had it, several people complimented me on the car.  So a pretty Challenger does get noticed.
