Pat Minarick Posted June 5, 2018 Share Posted June 5, 2018 (edited) I built this years ago. I took apart because back then I used baking soda and superglue for filling body work. I will never make that mistake again! I cleaned all the old stuff out and striped it. After getting the body work redone Jimmy Flintstone casted the body. I decided to turn the original body it to a rat rod. I did this in case the baking soda came back to haunt me again. I will use a resin body to make a shiny version sometime. This was the first model that I got into a magazine. It's getting a lot of changes , but I had to fix it. Going to be a nice build, looking forward to updates. Basically everywhere the baking soda was used it corroded and the paint bubbled off. Shouldn't take to long to finish. Thanks, not done yet. This is just the base ,still trying to figure out something to add to it ( lettering or graphics) . I'll add some streaks and pigments after that.
