Snake45 Posted November 12, 2018 Share Posted November 12, 2018 Welly 2007 GT500, $10 at Rite Aid. Maisto 2011 Boss 302, @ $12 at Hobby Lobby with coupon (kit). Both got the standard Snake-Fu touchup treatment. Had to do a little filing on the windshield of the Maisto 2011 to get it to pop into place, but otherwise, took less than 2 hours to build and detail the kit. Only problem with the Welly 2007 was the headlight covers. I decided to remove them and cut and polish off the mounting stem, and then had some moderate pain remounting them. Not sure it was worth the trouble but oh well, I did it. Didn't take any solo pics of the Maisto 2011 Boss because someone else already posted good pics of one here a few weeks ago. I like these both. $22 and change, maybe 4 hours total time, and I have two nice models on the shelf that I wouldn't have bothered to spend $30+ and 30+ hours each to build. Did you check to see what they scaled out to? I'm always curious now that they have that 1/27-1/24 listing, and if I can swap parts with other kits.
