Sport Suburban Posted January 4, 2019 Posted January 4, 2019 Here I see another one I finished but was a quick redo. This is an older build of mine of a 69 Shelby GT500. I wanted to redo this one because it was one of my older builds that did not have any foil on it and was painted an incorrect green. I had a can of Testors spray paint in Grabber Green that started leaking at the seam. That prompted the redo on this one. I tore it all apart and stripped the paint and redid it. I'm real happy with it now!
peekay Posted January 4, 2019 Posted January 4, 2019 Great looking model. You just need to give that hood a good slam.
vamach1 Posted January 4, 2019 Posted January 4, 2019 (edited) A++++. The decals came out very nice. My 2019 goal is be one of a handful to build a 71 Europa this year - the European version of what a 71 Shelby would have looked like perhaps. Keith Marks has the decals. I built one and would like to do a convertible someday. Just don't know if anyone makes the body currently?
Snake45 Posted January 6, 2019 Posted January 6, 2019 (edited) Beautiful! Again, you and I are thinking alike. In the early '90s I built a '69 GT500 in Grabber Green with white stripe, using then-new Model Car World paint. I forget whether the interior is black or white--it's been packed away awhile. I need to dig it out and take some pics of it. Again, well done and model on! ETA: Just realized, I do have one pic of it on the puter. Looks like black interior. Edited January 6, 2019 by Snake45
