cheyenne93
So while the cab is soaking in the stripper, thought I would get the plow done. This is the plow from the GMC plow truck. I added skid shoes and the end markers. Going to wire and plumb it when I put it on the dump truck. cheyenne93
Got the side boxes mounted to the frame. Brackets for those were made with square tubing cut in half to resemble angle iron. Got primer on the box. Also built a pair of diamond plate running boards.

cheyenne93
OK, looking for a little input . Tryin to decide, single mud flaps, dual mud flaps or fenders ? Please feel free to voice an opinion. I'm kinda digging the fender then add a short mud flap to that? Thanks for lookin.
Dieselhead
I would agree with you on the fender and then a short flap on the back. Great work on building the dump body!
redneckrigger
Single mudflap........................looks more utilitarian to me. And, great job so far, love the running boards and tool boxes.
Lordmodelbuilder
Truck is looking good! I vote for the single mud flap.
cheyenne93
So I made the fenders removable and made provisions for mud flaps also, so I can change them out when I want a different look. Got the box painted and the cab is ready for paint. Going to make the plow detachable also.

cheyenne93
Thanks for the input. Its bean a long time since I have had this much fun building. I can't wait to finish it!
mikemodeler
You are really going all out with the details! That is looking great and should be a beauty when done!
cheyenne93
After getting some primer on the cab, I noticed that there was not much of the body line detail on the front lower part of the front fenders. So back to sanding, think I got it looking pretty OK. As always thanks for the input.
cheyenne93
Got plow mounted, it is detachable. Interior's done. Didn't go to nuts on details here. Just added a cb radio, shift levers, and joystick for plow controls. Got another coat of primer on the cab. hope to get it painted in a couple days. Going to get some color on it soon, I hope. Change of mind on the color. Going to go with plain gloss red. Make it look more like a work truck I think. mikemodeler
Looks great, that red/black combo fits it perfectly. Might want to make the front bumper out of some C channel. Simple and easy to do yet gives it a heavy duty look.
cheyenne93
Thanks for the suggestion on the bumper. Got the diamond plate bumper done, don't know as I'm all that thrilled with it. Maybe even a square tube bumper would look good?
