ranma Posted March 25, 2019 Posted March 25, 2019 The decals came with a IH 4300 kit as a bonus. The frame is a Revell Peterbilt cut down to single axle, The cab and hood are glued together. The mirrors are a mix from a Revell Pete, and the L-700. The truck was supposed to be a box truck, but I wanted something different from that.
Jim B Posted March 25, 2019 Posted March 25, 2019 Looks really nice. Well done. Not sure a gasoline powered truck would have a big exhaust stack like that, though.
ranma Posted March 25, 2019 Author Posted March 25, 2019 Cat V-175 V-8 Which was available on the L-700 truck.
Jim B Posted March 25, 2019 Posted March 25, 2019 (edited) The V175 V8 was available in the LN7000, the LN700 had the 361 HD V8. It's your model, so you can do whatever you like (that's sort of the beauty of modeling), but I just thought you'd like to know. Edited March 25, 2019 by Jim B
TECHMAN Posted March 25, 2019 Posted March 25, 2019 SUPER SANITARY BUILD!!!! And I like the idea of building something other than a box-van, keep up the good work!!!! DJ
ranma Posted March 25, 2019 Author Posted March 25, 2019 And I found a good way to use the box part from the kit as well.
Sam I Am Posted March 26, 2019 Posted March 26, 2019 I like this a lot. Where did you cut the frame down for the single axle?
ranma Posted March 26, 2019 Author Posted March 26, 2019 19 hours ago, Sam I Am said: Where did you cut the frame down for the single axle? Just before the second suspension attachment area. I then used the second axle for the drive axle on this Ford.
