Not that I'm totally ignoring it!  Was looking through some books, found this in World Cars (an annual issue, have 3 years), the #1 prototype, good shot of the roll cage under the body and antenna:

This looks like the prototype for what we know as the LM002 (Le Moo Two), has the same tires but different wheels.  Note the taillights and front turn signals that the Countach has.  I'm digging the headlights, which reminded me that the Toyota Celica has similar size rectangle headlights, so I dug them out and contemplated..... the kit's headlights are lousy and would need improvement anyway.

Back on this project.  Thought I would remove the air-conditioning compressor from the engine, did some research to see which part was it, and discovered something interesting.  Dodge added a chiller to the supercharger system, not only is there an intercooler, but they run the refrigerant through a loop in the supercharger.  Rats, removing that would be asking for disaster, especially in the summer at Glamis sand dunes.  So I guess making the Thule cargo box a giant cooler is in order.  I had planned on an oil cooler in front, perhaps that's where the condenser should be.

Used the offcuts done before, to lower the interior tub sides.  Cut everything with the hot-wire.  Cut the back part off and moved forward about 8 MM, so the engine could be forward of the rear axle line, and the side vents will have a duct that works.  The kit was lousy in this area, really needed to be fixed!  The back inner fenders were also located directly over the chassis wheel wells, they were about 4 MM further apart.  The black sections are temporarily glued in, so the air ducts can be fabricated between.

One option might be a Casle inboard boat V-drive like the '38 Chevy pickup with the Jacobs aircraft radial engine or Hurst Hemi Under Glass.  I forgot where I saw it, but I remember seeing a V-drive with a second driveshaft going forward for 4 wheel drive.

Oops, maybe it is '38 Plymouth P/U.

Started on the center bulkhead.  Hot-wire cut all the panels, slop glued into place.  The back of the chassis moves more than I want, may have to glue in brass angle so it can be adjusted, and stay in place.

Thanks for the picture.  Though it wouldn't be seen (solid bottom), I should study this.

I'm going to get several plates printed, this ought to work even though it has already been taken for a real car.

Made three versions of the front bumper, so the following are in the order of fabrication.  Found some Alder hardwood scrap, cut to length.

The bandsaw cut the mating surface to the front.

The disk sander is used for doing the facets.

Started on the suspension, front disk brake and hub carrier.  There are no brakes in the kit, think those are Porsche 959 brakes.  Removed 2-3 mm from each side of the hub carrier, glued the opened out brake part.  The upper and lower A-arms are next, then steering rack.  Then the half-shaft (blue line).  Can't see the differential, hidden inside, that helps to fake it.

The wheels all need major fixing.  The axle shaft is removed one poly nut deep, all this should get longer suspension parts.

Ripped up the first attempt, second build is more vertical.  Need to figure out to make tow hooks, or use kit parts. The ax will also fit over the winch slot.
