landman
thanks guys. these are the little chassis tweaks which will help keep everything level. Started on the running board skirts.
gotnitro?
This is really starting to take shape now well done Interesting how well the cab and curved sides on the ramp flow together
landman
Well a major decision has been reached. Attempts to position the cab so the hood would open always ended up pushing it too far forward. So I followed in the steps of the very wise Mr. Sixties Sam and will go engine less. We can't see it anyway.
AmericanMuscleFan
Good job separating the hood from the cabin Pat. It must have been pretty tough just looking at the thickness of the walls. What did you use, a panel scriber or the back of an X-Acto blade? Sad that you have to give up the engine, I knew you on this forum as Mr. Engine! 😲

I think the whole essence of this model is the lines, what is underneath is irrelevant.
landman
Got the cab to line up with the bottom of the body (sort of). Started on the moldings. Please someone remind me not to attempt this again.
Big John
Great progress, whit walls are a very clean look. here is a shot of a bit different COE carrier I saw at the historic races. Sorry to say I didn't think to get more reference pics. End of a long day and headed back to the car.

Big John
Nice work on the interior, you've even got a CB radio for road reports. The winch is coming along well too. The toothbrush handle / gearbox is pretty trick too. Yeah, the historic races is always a treat.

I saw a real one in this same color headed for a local cruise-in last weekend. It was hood-less and running a bower a two carbs.
misterNNL
great project overall. I particularly like the addition of those front wheel well skirts. They add an Art Deco flavor to an already tasty truck.
