SawgrassRaven Posted July 8, 2021 Author Posted July 8, 2021 I took a break from the still and did some roofing. It's starting to resemble a house!
SawgrassRaven Posted July 9, 2021 Author Posted July 9, 2021 Tweaked the corner and roof damage a bit. This is about as far as I plan to go on the roof. This is pretty much it for the main structure and final layout with the exception of weathering and other small details. Just a comparison pic with her older sister. Now we can begin on the car.
SawgrassRaven Posted July 10, 2021 Author Posted July 10, 2021 (edited) Started on my base. Just playground sand for now. Ruts for the tires, sloping angle; water drainage puddling up in the damaged corner. I chose a camo tan paint. It works great as I need this one a bit dark. Sorry for the crappy pic. Marking some rust areas. Drilling out the 1mm headlight LEDs. Primer, salt, paint, etc. Edited July 10, 2021 by SawgrassRaven
SawgrassRaven Posted July 10, 2021 Author Posted July 10, 2021 My base for the weathering and rust to follow.
SawgrassRaven Posted July 22, 2021 Author Posted July 22, 2021 (edited) So, the blue just wasn't doing it for me, so back to the default shinerunner's color: Nasty old black! Plus I started in on my washes and weathering. Made the 1938 Burgess Twin-Six lanterns, one of which will be lit, sitting on a barrel just barely lighting the trunk and its contents. Progress so far. I think the slow, detailed part is the best part of the build. Edited July 22, 2021 by SawgrassRaven

Zippi Posted October 24, 2021 Posted October 24, 2021 Your work is so impressive. Love the detail work on that old crusty house. Your display cases look really nice.
