AMT68 Posted August 6, 2023 Posted August 6, 2023 This 1/25 scale '69 Camaro has been painted in Duplicolor Champagne Pearl (a Chrysler color) and cleared with Rust-Oleum. The tires and wheel covers are from the '63 Nova wagon. This was probably the third or fourth car where I did foil under paint for the scripts. While I had others with very fine script for some reason the fender scripts on this one were much more challenging. I sanded off the trunk script simply because I found it to be a cleaner look. 7
XYHARRY Posted August 6, 2023 Posted August 6, 2023 Really nice Camaro Tom. I don't usually go for the stock look but yours just grabs me. That colour combo works so well. Very classy. Well done. Cheers, David. ??
rrb124@sbcglobal.net Posted August 6, 2023 Posted August 6, 2023 Paint color is as we would see when they were on our neighborhood streets in high school. Great model.
espo Posted August 6, 2023 Posted August 6, 2023 Great looking paint finish and the color goes well with the interior. Like the clean look of a more standard mainstream Camaro, the cowl induction hood may leave a few thinking there be more to the story here. Clean chrome trim and the hub cap and white walls look good together. 1
Mittagskind Posted August 6, 2023 Posted August 6, 2023 Wow very nice & clean build. Great looking color.
kelson Posted August 6, 2023 Posted August 6, 2023 You captured the plain jane look perfectly!!,the hood kinda suggests a non stock engine underneath.? 1
Rattlecan Dan Posted August 6, 2023 Posted August 6, 2023 The paint and hubcaps give it a unique look. Nice work.
ea0863 Posted August 6, 2023 Posted August 6, 2023 Absolute beauty! Total class all the way. Thank you for posting.
atomicholiday Posted August 6, 2023 Posted August 6, 2023 Very sharp car. I love seeing these old muscle cars built in trim levels other than the top level. Great job.?
TransAmMike Posted August 6, 2023 Posted August 6, 2023 Very nice Tom...kinda unusual to see one with wheel covers. Great job?
karbuildr Posted August 6, 2023 Posted August 6, 2023 Very nice build, mostly everyone (myself included) goes for the top muscle look. I like the mainstream look, and you captured it perfectly, nice color too.
Curt Posted August 6, 2023 Posted August 6, 2023 Very realistic build. Your door gaps, window trim and paint application are especially convincing. This one really stands out.
Street Rod Posted August 6, 2023 Posted August 6, 2023 Great looking Camaro! It just looks “right”. Two thumbs up!

I use that off white for interiors and find it works with many exterior colors. 6 hours ago, espo said: Great looking paint finish and the color goes well with the interior. Thanks David. I picked up a few sets of these wheel cover and tire sets. I really like the look of the wheel covers one they are detailed. Thanks Curtis. The inspiration for this build came from your mainstream '70 Firebird build earlier this year. 5 hours ago, Mittagskind said: Wow very nice & clean build. The overall diameter of the wheel covers and tires are just slightly smaller than those of say a Bonneville or Impala. And probably why I think they work pretty well on the Camaro. 1 hour ago, Dragonhawk1066 said: Very nice! I love the "Plain Jane" look! 1 hour ago, Curt said: Very realistic build. Thanks Mario. I've taken a liking to photographing in the late day sun especially with the gold cars I've done this year.
