Dave B Posted September 19, 2023 Posted September 19, 2023 This is my take on Fangio's 1953 Carrera Panamerica winning Lancia D24. When I saw the 3D file for sale I just had to have it, love this car. Luckily I have my old mate Phil to print it for me and also provide me with the decals. So after a little work on the old filament printed body it's now finished. Wheels are KA Models photo etched wires and headlights, taillights, etc are from my plastic/resin stash. Finished in a home mixed auto acrylic red and clear coated it can now join my other 50's sports racing cars. Now onto the'53 Maserati A6GCS. Tks for looking Dave B 3
Kolu Posted September 19, 2023 Posted September 19, 2023 A lovely model. A lot of work, and what a paint finish. Thankyou for posting.
Rich Chernosky Posted September 19, 2023 Posted September 19, 2023 Dave...that really turned out spectacular. I am always amazed that you turn out such beautiful models from such humble beginnings. Fangio would luv this.
1959scudetto Posted September 19, 2023 Posted September 19, 2023 Excellent model, Dave - as we are already used to see from you - special applause when considering the body you started with !
Pierre Rivard Posted September 19, 2023 Posted September 19, 2023 Wonderful build. One of these days you will have to share your secrets on how you turn these coarsely printed bodies into such smooth and perfect masterpieces.
