gasman Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 fantastic, great job Revell. Revell will make alot of money off me in the future
Guest promodmerc Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 Oooh. I've got two of the kits I imagine I need the correct interiors for.
Zoom Zoom Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 I'm very glad to hear that Revell is doing this. Great job Revell!
elan Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 I think kit companies listen to us more than we give them credit for. Way to go Revell
Aaronw Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 I think kit companies listen to us more than we give them credit for. Way to go Revell I don't know about that, I think a few years ago an email complaining about an inaccuracy would have received a reply like "and... what do you want its a model, grow up" There seems to have been a big change in attitude the last couple of years with the new management at Revell, AMT and Lindberg. They actually seem to care about making a good product.
george 53 Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 Ok, I'm with Dan, I got 2 kits I need interiors for too! Now how do I go about getting them? And how do I tell the 1st run kits from the 2nd run kits? I DON'T want to ask them more than once, they might think I'm just tryin ta rip 'em off!!! THANKS

THANKS Excellent question Mr George 53 I would Hazard a guess it is the Kit #? Kit number: 85-4215 (stupid question?) What was wrong with it? Was it the wrong yr? They all look alike to me BTW: I have 1 kit. I gotta stop buying First run kits. The New revell Nova. Backwards fuel tank. And the Revell 69 Charger (long time ago and has been fixed on new ones) body too square and A pillars too thick. Of course my good friend back then called Revell and they sent a whole new kit. To him.. It was my kit. Nice Friend Jeff Fritch. In case anybody knew/knows him. Grrrrrrrrrrr. Boy, that is an old grudge but not the first thing but the straw that broke the camels back.................. Edited September 2, 2009 by Zukiholic
jbwelda Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 thats certainly a big one for revell in my book!
Guest Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 This is the kind of customer service both Revell/Monogram, and AMT had when I got back into the hobby in the early 90's. It faded away in the late 90's because people took advantage, and called for parts just to stock the spares box. Glad to see it is making a comeback! Kudos Revell! Let's hope the new owners of AMT/MPC do this as well.
Jeff Johnston Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 I'm not shocked by this. Revell is a stand up company and I knew they'd do the right thing. They also stopped charging shipping for replacement parts... Great customer service, even better since the new owners. Now if they can only figure out how to charge under 20 bucks for the kits...
Guest Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 No kidding. Some of their new kits are 25 bucks, just a couple of years ago that was import territory.
george 53 Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 (edited) Are there TWO seperate threads goin on about this? I DID contact Revell this mornin after Ken Hart turned me on to the website, an they said that it would/was sent. So when I get them, I'll let BOTH threads know.IF i can find both of 'em! OK COOL the other thread is under "New Kit Revues" NOW i got it straight!!! Edited September 2, 2009 by george 53
jbwelda Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 thats really a much more realistic solution imo. just sending them out to anyone who requests them is asking to be defrauded. its a shame people want to take advantage of offers like this and it just ruins it for other, honest requestors. thanks to revell for implementing a fairly painless yet effective solution to keeping honest people honest
route66modeler Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 HI, Glad you got her to give you a clear answer on what to do. You had better luck than me. r66m
gasman Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 I send mine out last Friday, They said 2-4 weeks for delivery, I'm just assuming its replacement parts, and not a whole kit
george 53 Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 Cool,Terry, I sent my 2 UPC codes last week too! I din't bother ta ask how long it would take, caz I never talked to anyone! But it's cool to have a timeframe. I'll let ya'll know when they get here!
