Some people like their model cars, die-casts, and also their 1:1 cars signed by celebrities and living legends, but I'm not one of them. To each their own.

It's a personal taste kinda thing to be sure. Back in the day when I was spending alot of time around the Petty's, I remember Richard and Kyle both would ask where you wanted the car signed. Even going so far as to ask if you would rather have them sign the package so as not to mar the car. I don't like sigs on my cars either, but for a fan who doesn't mind it's a cool thing.

I think it is pretty cool to have some items autographed for keepsakes. I have a few boxes signed but only one car, it is the Tamiya Jagermeister BMW kit that I had Mr. Tamiya sign for me at Tamiya Con a few years ago. It was the first time anyone had asked him to sign a model!

Pretty cool of Ken Block to sign it for you. :)

Not to hi jack your thread, but, who else has autographed kit boxes or kits?

I normally dont build race car replica but there isnt any out there of his....I know its not the correct body style he ran for that race but I just wanted to build one...

Everyone else was bringing in pretty much the same thing to be signed and he thought it was cool to see something like that made..

A friend of mine here is the only guy I know that can get George Barris to sign his unopened Barris model car kits for no cost. Mr. Barris often charges people for that .
