traditional
These simple, old curbside Hubley kits were built decades ago, and if memory serves, the only modifications that I made (other than paint) were the spare tire details..... the kit just used the regular wheel and hubcap. Paint was automotive lacquer, and trim was done with 'muffler tape'....something I still prefer over BMF for straight lines. I also used a 'tech pen' to detail the cowl vents. The models have shared a display-case since first finished so they've, fortunately, stayed fresh.

jbwelda
kool models! a friend of mine put bmw 2002 engine and running gear in one, lowered it down on modern radial tires, cut off the top (only attached along the windshield line with rivets as I recall and in the rear only by that 6" or so of metal...the factory converts were done the same way, chop off the top). that made it both kool and fast. I would love to build a model of his car. jb
