crazyrichard Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 (edited) this is my 1932 ford used a already build model i was never happy with and took the body ...and scratched the rest ... i have chosen a high gloss finish with a mild salt weathering , kind of best of both worlds .. and i did not want to overdo the salt and ruin it i made the front axle , steerable wheels , bonnet side panels , streamline nose , roof , window etc here is the build thread > http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=83925 first pictures , i will ad better ones in daylight later on i just updated this thread with some more special pictures , they are below in one of the posts Edited January 27, 2014 by crazyrichard
circaboy Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 That is awesome! It perfectly reflected what you mentioned: A superb mix of glossy and weathered paintjob. Very nice scratchbuilding as well! The whole thing is amazing

crazyrichard Posted January 27, 2014 Author Posted January 27, 2014 (edited) thnx everybody !! just took some pictures of the ford ... i put it on a white blanc painters canvas and printed out 2 a4 pics of the bonneville salt flat mountains and sky .. then took the pictures , nothing is photoshopped i only cut the pic to size so only the canvas and printed pictures where in the frame ... edit , i posted this on a dutch forum and a guy said the first pic is great to do something in fotoshop with.. so i did a quick thing and gave it some movement .. does look cool ..
