Grumpy's Toy 70 Chevy Camaro
mini trucker replied to Car Crazy 81's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
The fuel tanks on Grumpys cars were painted white in an effort to reflect track heat and keep the fuel cool. Build looks good, keep it up -
Starting out with my first car
mini trucker replied to Capone007's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Hobby hobby in Streetsville had a pretty decent paint rack and a small selection of car and truck models as well. They handle a lot of RC stuff too, nice people to deal with. -

mpc Pacer x it has a mile of glass but no class lol
mini trucker replied to mnwildpunk's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Another interesting Pacer fact is that they were the first car to be built without the traditional rain gutters that other cars of the era had. They used the weather stripping for the doors to drain water away rather than traditional rain rails. This gave the car a sleeker look and most importantly improved aerodynamics in wind tunnel testing leading to improved fuel mileage. The hidden gutter idea is still used on many cars to this day -

Silly mistakes

Given Chi towns very unfortunate record high murder rate isn't the whole slogan a bit of a moot point anyways? -

Camaro is American again
mini trucker replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I'm wondering why you felt this change in the 1:1 car world warranted a post on here? This is a forum for scale models of cars, not real ones. If there was a change in the country that any of the model manufacturers molded their scale Camaro kits in I could see perhaps making mention of it but the reason you felt the need to post this is a mystery to me. -

Round 2 wants to know what you want!
mini trucker replied to Blown03SVT's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I would like to see a return of the Snapfast Plus line of kits, they had some really good offerings in that line up back in the day. The 72 GMC stepside would be a welcome return as well as some of the pinto variants. -

Bodied LUV
mini trucker replied to relaxednoma's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
Bob Grant had a bodied 1:1 LUV he was building a while back too, i believe it is in texas now. Your version looks like its gonna be pretty kool when its done, I think the LUV kit is due for a re issue too! -
I know a guy who has had a 1:1 full show street freak 460 powered Pinto hatch mothballed since the late 70s so there are deff some survivors out there. This one was all for show, crazy paneled paint and tons of chrome and a sky high straight axled front end, a really neat-o lookin old show car.

Could you please stop advocating smoking on here please, we have forum members who are young and impressionable along with many older members who have given the habit up for various reasons. Smoking is a terrible habit to have and an even worse one to break! With regards to the real topic Bill is deff a true craftsman when it comes to the kustum kar game, his chopped folding top mechanisms are fabulous pieces of machinery themselves.
