I've seen the car , been in around it and under it . Chris Walker built it ,he owns In The Weeds Custom. If you are going to say that weld is on that car I think you should back it up . It's not fair to him. This car was built as a challenge 30 days for less than 3000 dollars . It was a rusted out 4door wagon with no floor. I made 500+ drive right after it was built . I really don't care if someone likes it or not , that is their opinion. Its just not right to put someones work down if you don't like it. -

So you are saying this weld is on this this car ? I would really like to see it actually on the car . I Googled the image and it went to a few different sites . But nothing to do with that actual car. -

I like it.

Windows are all in. Put a black wash on the rims, need to make shocks and add brakes then the body and chassis will go together for the last time.

Page 10 and 11 of the 2018 Cannonball community build. Like your going to make something rusty?, next you'll be building box stock and actual looking at instructions.

I have just started using weathering pigments, the type for tanks . I'm always trying new stuff. I'm learning stuff from the armor guys too !

I can try. Fisrt paint the body flat black , gray primer, and then body color . Thin layers and let dry. Wet sand the body all over , in the places you want real rusty it's ok to go to the plastic. Then dullcote it. I use acrylic craft paint( Craftsmart ). Dab the bare areas with black. You can dry brush graphite gray in areas you want primer spots. Then dry brush graphite gray and vanilla in the direction water would streak down the body. Then I give the body a wash of Citadel miniatures chestnut or dark flesh wash. Blot excess of with a sponge , or add more streaks with a clean brush. Dullcote again. Go back to the areas you want rusty. Use black and brick red , bad both together with a old worn out brush till it looks the way you want it. You can use terra cotta got some brighter rust . Thin the terra cotta with a liner brush to add rusty streaks. Use the vanilla and with a really dry brush the body in the direction of the streaks to dull it up more. You can use a black wash in areas you want darker and body lines. Just build up layer till you get the look you want. Do your foiling on the trim and dullcote again . You can leave it like that , or go back over the rusty spots to give more texture. Hope you can figure that all out.
