  1. Len, I'm itching but it's basically just dry skin, although it could be I'm allergic to 5hitty AMT kits. ๐Ÿคฃ
  2. Vent wings, back in those days were optional on many cars so don't feel compelled to leave them. That 1:1 you posted looks darn good without 'em. ๐Ÿฅด Those four scale inches? Maybe it was the bean counters trying to save a few bucks by using less plastic ๐Ÿค‘. That's a lot to be off. I wonder if there may have been an actual reason.
  3. That's a wicked cool pickup, Ferby! ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  4. That Ford seat works a whole lot better than what they gave you, Greg. Nice steering wheel, too. I noticed the character line on the door of the 1:1 is a bit longer than on the 1:25. I would just accept that, I think. I dunno...it may be fixable with some sheet stock overlaid and feathered out. Nice work on the running board supports and the tunnel. You've been busy! ๐Ÿค“ BTW, the color of that 1:1 would look real nice on the 1:25. Removal of the vent wings and the smooth boards looks pretty good, too.
  5. Please be careful with that beautiful paint job! ๐Ÿ˜€
  6. I just found this on the second page, Charles (I was kinda bored) and I think Rodney abandoned the thread. I just reviewed it a bit and I recall the chatter now. This was partly my fault for running my mouth but we were just having a little fun. Not everyone was entertained by the off-topic banter. Read back to see why Rodney got hot. I don't blame him one bit. I apologize for my part in this, Rodney.
  7. I totally agree with you Chris. The styling is so "way out" that the chop is the best shot at improvement of the overall look. A nice lowering job, some cool wheels and the chop should be about it. It's like trying to customize a custom. There's just no place to go. ๐Ÿ˜•
  8. Yup. Sometimes they just build themselves. ๐Ÿฅด
  9. Looks like the center slice solves any windshield fit issues. Very good, Ferbs!
  10. Paint looks great, Michael. Looking forward to the decals.
  11. I did, Lenny, but this one is way over my head. There's nothing I can offer on this except to say what a fantastic job you're doing.
  12. I was just kidding, Len. ๐Ÿ˜•
  13. What about the thickness of the trans-dapt? ...........๐Ÿ˜„.......OK, no........
  14. This is a rare learning opportunity, guys. Pay attention! The method being used is not what most builders use except in very isolated situations. To do this like Jon is doing in broad strokes requires a fairly well stocked Evergreen cabinet and a rotary tool. Thats alI. I really, really, really like this method. So now, it's not a matter of how but what. All you need is the tools. I'm stoked. EDIT: Sorry, Jon, I got soft for a minute. Wicked nice tutorial! EDIT: Oops. I forgot what I was going to say...
  15. White upholstery, body color dash. Only my opinion. ๐Ÿฅด
  16. When you paint the hood, don't forget the dash.( I always forget the dash. ๐Ÿค“)
  17. I have a few cans on the shelf. It allows too much volume, probably due to size of the metal-flake. One coat, a wet one. Done. The paint is awesome. It dries fast and it covers really well. And it sparkles like crazy. Clear next?
  18. Yeah man! Street custom! I hate to say this but it would make a pretty cool ๐Ÿ˜– lowrider๐Ÿคฎ And yes, it has the sexy of a West Palm pole dancer. ๐Ÿคช
  19. The trim mods you did have this old stovebolt looking mighty crisp, Greg. In fact, it is out standing ๐Ÿ˜ฏ
  20. Elliot, I rely on Hobbylinc.com for plastic and metal. And yeah, it helps to have it on hand when it's needed. I keep a fairly large supply covering the sizes that are useful. It's an investment ๐Ÿค“
  21. Told ya ๐Ÿฅด
  22. Nice work, Len. This is a huge project and your craftsmanship is top notch. Glad you're back on this.
  23. I know how you did it and it's so simple that it's freaking brilliant. ๐Ÿ˜‰
  24. Hey, man...I just looked at my Edsel kit. I'm thinking custom but chopping it scares me. The thing that would prevent me from chopping this roof is the glass. I haven't been able to get around the glass in my fertile(๐Ÿ’ฉ) mind. What have you planned for that? The angle of the pillars, top to bottom, changes slightly and the wrap-around glass will not forgive it. Making new glass may be the solution but it's going to take some planning. I'm just wondering if you have it worked out how to do this.
