  1. Well, I can attest to that, boss.
  2. Now that Model Master has slipped into oblivion, what brand of model paint labels their colors with the Federal Spec numbers like MM did? I'm planning to build a few aircraft models and I'm going to need proper colors. I prefer oil base enamel but if acrylics are all I can get, I'll take it.
  3. Forever More was not my favorite candy bar.
  4. Wow, Jim, that chopper is going to keep you busy for a good long time! Big scale too! The Mustang is on my list. I'm starting at the beginning. I'm going to build all the planes my Dad flew. He was an instructor and taught French cadets how to fly our planes shortly after the end of the war. First up is the PT-17 that I got at Ollie's (thanks to you, sir) . When I was a toddler he built for me all of the ones he had hours in. I don't remember what became of them. I feel like I should reconstitute the collection. I don't know what took me so long but when I saw that Stearman, it all came crashing down on me. It's a beautiful aircraft. Dad was Army Air Corps and the kit includes both Navy and Army markings. Oh, no, that gloss purple is just a solid color. You need the grape metallic.
  5. Thumping, bumping and otherwise humping is sumpthing I would consider lumping.
  6. Right makes might, donut?
  7. James! I was just poking around the "everything else" threads and came upon your WWII aircraft build. I thought it was interesting that many of us gearheads are closet "air-heads" ?Could it be that many of us baby-boomers had WWII daddies that flew those warbirds? I think so.
  8. Was I not clear about my peculiarities?
  9. Backsides or frontsides, either is OK with me ?
  10. Thinking is the hardest thing to do if you've been indoctrinated to feel instead.
  11. Said with a smile on his face, Jeremy's comment had a deeper, more sinister meaning.
  12. List for me, Clarence, all the automobiles you have owned in your lifetime.
  13. I'm glad somebody is honest about it ?.
  14. It looks Iike they eliminated some good stuff. Nice deuce, looks good in yellow ?
  15. Clouds appear on the dark horizon.
  16. "Keep quiet" she said, angrily and with much malice. ?
  17. Quality is better than quantity, in my opinion.
  18. I do that all the time ?
  19. Greeks are welcome on this thread as well as Canadians, Australians, and Martians.
  20. Real doesn't describe the smell of those imaginary beasts
  21. You know you're in trouble when you have so much super glue on your finger tips that your tablet won't respond to your touch any longer ?.
  22. Well, okay then. Can't wait to start the roadster...and you're almost done!
  23. Good idea on the exhaust, James. I think I would fill those ejector pin marks on the seat back and maybe flock(?) The floor or make a floor mat to cover the ones on the floor. I went back to Ollie's today (for coffee) and, to my wife's dismay, bought a Revell 1:48 Stearman PT-17, Navy version. They also had a Ford Tri-motor but in 1:72. Did your store have a variety of these kits? Check your wheels. See if one of them has an off-center hub hole. Mine does ?
  24. Thank you Carl!

    RUST.

Light surface rust is tough to simulate and I would sure love to see how it's done. The rust on these two is very convincing . The rust on the chrome is the clincher. I believe it!
